Etne is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland, although it is also sometimes considered to be part of the district of Haugaland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Etnesjøen. Other villages in the municipality include Skånevik and Fjæra. The two largest villages in the municipality are Etnesjøen with 1,159 residents and Skånevik with 594 residents.
Os is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It was located in the Midhordland region, just south of Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Due to its proximity to Bergen, Os experienced strong population growth. The administrative centre of Os was the village of Osøyro. It is the largest settlement in the municipality, with over 60% of the municipal residents living here. Other large villages in Os included Hagavik, Halhjem, Søfteland, Søre Øyane, and Søvik. On 1 January 2020, the municipality became part of Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county.

Leirvik is a town and the administrative centre of Stord municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The town lies along the southern coast of the large island of Stord, along the Hardangerfjorden. The town gained "town status" in 1997. The town includes the Eldøyane peninsula where the large Kværner Stord industrial area is located.
Skånevik is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The 588-square-kilometre (227 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. It included the land surrounding both sides of the Skånevikfjorden and its smaller branches: the Åkrafjorden and Matersfjorden in the present-day Etne Municipality and Kvinnherad Municipality. It also included the eastern part of the island of Halsnøya and stretched quite a ways inland all the way to the Folgefonna glacier. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Skånevik where Skånevik Church is located.

The village is located on the eastern shore of the Tysfjorden, north of the small village of Storå. The island of Hulløya lies off the coast of Kjøpsvik. The 1.01-square-kilometre (250-acre) village has a population (2018) of 845 which gives the village a population density of 837 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,170/sq mi).
Etnesjøen or Etne is the administrative centre of Etne municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located at the inner end of the Etnefjorden, along the European route E134 highway, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of the village of Skånevik and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northeast of the village of Ølensjøen.
Kinsarvik is a village in the municipality of Ullensvang in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located at the end of a small bay at the confluence of the Sørfjorden and the Eid Fjord, where they join to form the main branch of the Hardangerfjorden. The village lies along the Norwegian National Road 13 and it has a ferry port with regular routes that connect it to Utne and Kvanndal across the fjord.
Langevåg is a village in Bømlo municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the southern tip of the island of Bømlo, along the Bømlafjorden. It lies in the far southern part of the municipality, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of the village of Lykling. The 1.21-square-kilometre (300-acre) village has a population (2019) of 758 and a population density of 626 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,620/sq mi). This makes it the fourth largest village in the municipality.
Bremangerlandet is an island in Bremanger Municipality in the traditional district of Nordfjord in Vestland county, Norway. The 153-square-kilometre (59 sq mi) island is one of the largest islands in the county. The highest point on the island is the 889-metre (2,917 ft) tall mountain Svartevassegga, however the cliff at Hornelen, located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the east, is more well-known and has an elevation of 860 metres (2,820 ft). The 4-kilometre (2.5 mi) long lake Dalevatnet is located in the central part of the island.

The 0.37-square-kilometre (91-acre) village has a population (2019) of 601 and a population density of 1,624 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,210/sq mi).

The historic mountain farm, Ytste Skotet, lies about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the northwest, across the fjord.

Balestrand is a village in Sogndal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern shore of the Sognefjorden, at the mouth of the small Esefjorden. It sits about 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of the village area of Leikanger-Hermansverk and about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) northwest of the village of Vangsnes. The small village of Tjugum lies less than 700 metres (2,300 ft) north of Balestrand, across the Esefjorden. The local Tjugum Church is located there, serving the people of the village of Balestrand.

The village is located on the southern shore of the Hardangerfjorden, about 55 kilometres (34 mi) southeast of the city of Bergen. It is located on the Folgefonna peninsula, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northwest of the Folgefonna glacier in Folgefonna National Park. The village of Kysnesstranda lies about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the south.
Åkrafjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Etne and Kvinnherad. The 32-kilometre (20 mi) long fjord reaches a maximum depth of 650 metres (2,130 ft). The fjord flows from the southern part of the Folgefonna National Park, draining the huge Folgefonna glacier. The fjord then flows to the southwest before emptying into the Skånevikfjorden near the village of Utåker. The Langfossen waterfall runs down the steep cliffs on the south side of the fjord, just west of Fjæra.
Utåker is a village in Kvinnherad municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located where the Skåneviksfjorden splits into the Matersfjorden and Åkrafjorden.
Skånevikfjorden is a fjord in Norway. The 15-kilometre (9.3 mi) long fjord runs through Etne and Kvinnherad municipalities in Vestland county and in Vindafjord municipality in Rogaland county. The fjord is fed by several smaller fjords such as the Åkrafjorden, Etnefjorden, and Matersfjorden and it flows to the southwest into the main Hardangerfjorden. Some villages along the fjord include Utåker and Skånevik. The islands of Halsnøya, Fjelbergøya, and Borgundøya lie on the northwestern side of the fjord.
