According to Eurovision rules, all nations with the exceptions of the host country and the "Big Five" (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) are required to qualify from one of two semi-finals in order to compete for the final; the top ten countries from each semi-final progress to the final. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) split up the competing countries into six different pots based on voting patterns from previous contests, with countries with favourable voting histories put into the same pot. On 25 January 2022, an allocation draw was held which placed each country into one of the two semi-finals, as well as which half of the show they would perform in. Armenia was placed into the first semi-final, held on 10 May 2022, and performed in the second half of the show. [20] Armenia qualified for the final for the first time since 2017, and eventually placed 20th with 61 points.
A few months after Eurovision, "Snap" went viral on video sharing service TikTok, leading to an increase of streams on Spotify and topping the daily viral charts in various countries. "Snap" started entering numerous countries' national charts, surpassing the Ukrainian winning song, "Stefania" by Kalush Orchestra, for the most chart entries by a Eurovision song from 2022. [3]
The song has topped the chart in both regions of Belgium as well as in Latvia and the top ten in Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. In the United Kingdom, the song peaked at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart, making Rosa Linn the highest-charting foreign act from Eurovision 2022 in the UK.
