The Soribada Best K-Music Awards (previously abbreviated as SOKA and currently abbreviated as SOBA) is an awards ceremony presented by the digital music platform Soribada to celebrate the best and brightest of K-pop releases. [1] The first awards ceremony was held in September 2017 and awarded music released between September 2016 and August 2017.
This is the first-ever awards ceremony hosted by Soribada, established in 2000 as Korea's first digital music service. [2]

The Seoul Music Awards is a major South Korean music awards show presented by the newspaper Sports Seoul. The award winners are selected based on a combination of criteria, including music sales, popular votes, and expert judges' opinions.
Hong Jin-young is a South Korean trot singer and entertainer. She was a member of the short-lived South Korean girl group SWAN, which debuted in 2007. In 2009, she returned to the music scene, debuting as a trot singer. She is known for her vocal ability, signature aegyo, appearances on many variety programs, and prevalence at events throughout South Korea all year round.
WJSN, also known as Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. The group's current lineup is composed of ten members: Seola, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung. The group debuted on February 25, 2016, with the extended play Would You Like? with the twelve-member line-up. A thirteenth member, Yeonjung, joined in July 2016. After being on hiatus since 2018, Yuehua's Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao and Meiqi departed from the group on March 3, 2023.
Gugudan (Korean: 구구단), also stylized as gu9udan or gx9, was a South Korean girl group formed in 2016 by Jellyfish Entertainment and the company's first girl group. The group debuted on June 28, 2016, with their EP Act. 1 The Little Mermaid. The group was composed of eight members: Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee and Mina. Originally a nine-piece group, Hyeyeon left the group in October 2018.
