The John Butler Trio are an Australian roots/rock band led by guitarist and vocalist John Butler, an APRA and ARIA-award-winning musician. They formed in Fremantle in 1998 with Jason McGann on drums, Gavin Shoesmith on bass and John Butler on vocals. By 2009, the trio consisted of Butler with Byron Luiters on bass and Nicky Bomba on drums and percussion, the latter being replaced by Grant Gerathy in 2013. After both Luiters and Gerathy exited the trio in early 2019, bassist OJ Newcomb and drummer Terepai Richmond joined the band, accompanied by touring musician Elana Stone on keyboards, percussion and backing vocals.
The Cat Empire is the debut studio album of Australian alternative rock band The Cat Empire, which was released on 24 October 2003. It peaked at No. 15 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified 2× platinum by ARIA in 2005. Four singles were issued from the album, "Hello", "Days Like These", "The Chariot" and "One, Four, Five" (2004). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2004, the band received six nominations including Best Group, Best Breakthrough Artist – Album and Best Urban Release for The Cat Empire; Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year for Baldwin's work on the album.
You Am I are an Australian power pop band, fronted by its lead singer-songwriter and guitarist, Tim Rogers. They formed in December 1989 and are the first Australian band to have released three successive albums that have each debuted at the number-one position on the ARIA Albums Chart: Hi Fi Way, Hourly, Daily and #4 Record. Nine of their tracks appeared on the related ARIA Singles Chart top 50 with "What I Don't Know 'bout You", their highest charting, at No. 28. You Am I have received ten ARIA Music Awards from thirty-one nominations. The band have supported international artists such as the Who, the Rolling Stones, Sonic Youth and Oasis.
Gyroscope are an Australian rock band from Perth, which formed in 1997 as Gyroscope Sunday. The members are Daniel Sanders as lead vocalist and on guitar, Zoran Trivic on guitar and backing vocals, Brad Campbell on bass guitar and backing vocals and Rob Nassif on drums. As of 2014 the group has released four studio albums on major labels.
Butterfingers are an Australian rap rock group from Brisbane, Queensland. Most of their releases are on their own label, Valley Trash Records. They are currently signed to New World Artists.
End of Fashion are an Australian pop rock band from Perth, Western Australia. The group gained mainstream attention with its 2005 single, "O Yeah", that was voted into eighth position of the "Hottest 100" poll, compiled by Australian youth radio station, Triple J. The group has released three studio albums. In January 2014, the band took a hiatus before reforming for their first show on 22 September 2018 at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough.
Pushing Buttons is the third extended play by Australian alternative rock band Grinspoon, and was released on 21 September 1998 via Universal Records. It peaked at number 13 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
Faker are an Australian alternative rock band, formed in 1996 by mainstay Nathan Hudson on lead vocals, piano and guitar. They have released three studio albums, Addicted Romantic, Be the Twilight and Get Loved. Their highest charting single, "This Heart Attack" (2007), peaked at No. 9 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The group disbanded in December 2013, but they announced their reformation in October 2020.
Driving for the Storm / Doctor Doctor is an EP by Australian post-grunge band Gyroscope. The EP was released in September 2003 and features the two tracks of its namesake "Driving the Storm" and "Doctor Doctor", with the later polling at No.92 in Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2003. It peaked at No. 11 on the ARIA Heatseekers Albums Chart.

"Snakeskin" is a song by Australian alternative rock band Gyroscope, from the album Breed Obsession. It was released as the first single from the album on 27 October 2007, which peaked at No. 30 on the ARIA Singles Chart. "Snakeskin" was listed at No. 16 in national radio Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2007. The CD version of the EP contained two previously unreleased B-sides while the digital release from iTunes included a third unreleased B-side.

"Fast Girl" / "Beware Wolf" is a double A-sided single by Australian alternative rock band Gyroscope from their 2005 album, Are You Involved?. It was released as the first single from the album on 6 March 2006 and peaked at No. 43 on the Australian Singles Charts. Both "Fast Girl" and "Beware Wolf" appeared on national radio Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2005, where they were listed at No. 29 and No. 62, respectively. The CD version contained a previously unreleased B-Side, which is a live recording of the Jebediah track, "Monument"; as well as an acoustic version of their own track, "Sexxy".
"Safe Forever" is the first single from Australian four-piece Gyroscope's debut album Sound Shattering Sound. It was released on 15 March 2004 along with a music video. The first B-side to the single was a fully acoustic version of "Misery", also from Sound Shattering Sound. The second B-side was a live version of "Sharp Words", from the band's 2003 EP, Midnight Express, and was recorded at the Amplifier Bar in Perth, Western Australia on 19 July 2003. The video was directed by Matt Weston, and won a Silver Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) Award in 2004.
Boy & Bear are an Australian indie folk band formed in 2009, consisting of David Hosking, Killian Gavin, Tim Hart, Jonathan Hart, and David Symes (bass). The band has released two EPs and five studio albums. The first two albums, Moonfire and Harlequin Dream, reached the top ten of the Australian albums chart. Their third album, Limit of Love, was released on 9 October 2015, in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada, and on 30 October in the UK and Europe. On 27 September 2019, after a four-year break, they released their long-awaited fourth studio album, Suck on Light. After yet another break between 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID pandemic, the band finally released their self-titled fifth studio album on 26 May 2023.

The single become the second top 40 hit from Cohesion on the ARIA Singles Chart, which peaked at No. 34 and spent a total of fourteen weeks in the top 50. The song is the group's third highest-charting single behind previous singles "Some of the Places I Know" and "Snakeskin". By the end of the year it was certified gold by Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).

In 2019, her tracks "Groceries" and "UFO" placed at number 7 and 70, respectively, in the 2018 Triple J Hottest 100, in 2020, "Charlie" and "Nobody's Home" placed at number 3 and 59, respectively, in the 2019 Triple J Hottest 100 and in 2021, "Rockstar" placed 13 in the 2020 Triple J Hottest 100.
