The South Africa women's cricket team played the West Indies women's cricket team in August and September 2021. [1] The tour consisted of five Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). [2] The WODI matches were used as the West Indies' preparation for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. [3]

The first WT20I match ended as a no result due to rain. [4] South Africa then won the second WT20I match by 50 runs, [5] with the West Indies winning the third match by five wickets, [6] with the series being drawn 1–1. [7] In the first two WODI matches, South Africa recorded big wins, of eight and nine wickets respectively, taking a 2–0 lead in the series. [8] [9] South Africa won the third WODI by eight wickets to win the series with two matches to play. [10] South Africa also won the fourth WODI to take a 4–0 lead in the series. [11] The final match ended in a tie, with the West Indies winning the Super Over. [12] Therefore, South Africa won the five-match series 4–1. [13]

South Africa did not name individual squads for the WODI and WT20I matches, opting instead to name a combined squad of 18 players for the tour. [17] Cricket West Indies (CWI) named Anisa Mohammed as the captain for the WT20I matches, after Stafanie Taylor was ruled out due to being a close contact of someone with COVID-19. [18] For the third WT20I match, CWI announced that Cherry-Ann Fraser and Karishma Ramharack had been added to the squad, [19] replacing Shamilia Connell and Shakera Selman. [20] CWI also named Anisa Mohammed as the WODI captain, after Stafanie Taylor was unavailable after returning home. [21] The West Indies added Shakera Selman and Rashada Williams to their WODI squad ahead of the third match, and Britney Cooper was ruled out of the rest of the series due to a medical reason. [22] Reniece Boyce, Cherry-Ann Fraser and Sheneta Grimmond were added to the West Indies' squad for the fourth WODI, [23] with Qiana Joseph, Chedean Nation, and Karishma Ramharack all being rested. In May 2017, she was named in the West Indies squad for the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup. The first fixture of the tour, at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, was the Australia's first ever WODI match in the Caribbean. Sheneta Shanata Grimmond is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for Guyana, Trinbago Knight Riders and the West Indies. She plays primarily as a right-arm off break bowler. In August 2019, she was named in the West Indies squad for their series against Australia. She made her Women's One Day International (WODI) debut for the West Indies against Australia on 8 September 2019. She made her Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) debut for the West Indies, also against Australia, on 14 September 2019. In January 2020, she was named in West Indies' squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia. In May 2021, Grimmond was awarded with a central contract from Cricket West Indies.

The India women's cricket team played the West Indies women's cricket team in November 2019. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), which formed part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship, and five Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. India won the WODI series 2–1. In the WT20I series, India won the first three matches, to take an unassailable lead. India then went on to win the remaining two fixtures, to sweep the series 5–0.

The South Africa women's cricket team toured England to play against the England women's cricket team in June and July 2022. Originally, South Africa were scheduled to tour England in September 2020. The tour was scheduled to consist of four Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and two Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with all the matches taking place at the County Cricket Ground in Derby. However, in August 2020, the tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2022, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced a new schedule for the tour, consisting of three WODI matches, three WT20I matches, and a one-off Women's Test match. It was South Africa Women's first Test match since they played India in November 2014. A points-based system was used across all three formats of the tour.

Cherry-Ann Sarah Fraser is a Guyanese cricketer who currently plays for Guyana, Guyana Amazon Warriors and the West Indies. Fraser has also represented Guyana in volleyball, playing in the 2019 Inter-Guianas championship.

The West Indies women's cricket team toured England to play the England women's cricket team in September 2020. The tour consisted of five Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the fixtures, after the planned tour by the South African women's team was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the matches were played behind closed doors at the County Cricket Ground in Derby.

The South Africa women's cricket team played against the India women's cricket team in March 2021. Five Women's One Day International (WODI) and three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches were played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Despite the short notice of the tour, Cricket South Africa confirmed that tests for COVID-19 had been done and the team was ready to travel. Prior to the tour, India's last international match was the final of the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup on 8 March 2020. The South African team arrived in Lucknow on 26 February 2021, before undergoing six days of quarantine.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized a Women's ODI tri-nation in Doha during January 2014 followed by a Women's T20I tri-nation series in the same month. The participating teams were Pakistan, South Africa and Ireland. Both tournaments were played in a round-robin format where each team faced other team twice and followed by a final. All the matches were played at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha.

The Pakistan women's cricket team toured the West Indies to play the West Indies women's cricket team in June and July 2021. The tour consisted of three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) and five Women's One Day International (WODI) matches.

The West Indies women's cricket team toured Ireland, the Netherlands and England in June and July 2008. They first played Ireland in 3 One Day Internationals and 1 Twenty20 International, winning both series. The T20I was the first both sides played in the format. They then played a 4 match ODI series and a 2 match T20I series against the Netherlands, again winning both series. The first T20I in the series was the first ever played by the Netherlands in the format. Finally, they played England in 2 ODIs, with one match rained off and the other won by England.

The South Africa women's national cricket team toured the West Indies in January 2013. They played the West Indies in 5 One Day Internationals and 2 Twenty20 Internationals, drawing the ODI series 2–2 and losing the T20I series 2–0. The series preceded both teams' participation in the 2013 World Cup, held in India.

The West Indies women's cricket team toured South Africa in October 2009. They played against South Africa in 4 One Day Internationals and 3 Twenty20 Internationals, losing the ODI series 2–1 but winning the T20I series 3–0.

The New Zealand women's cricket team toured the West Indies in September and October 2022 to play three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and five Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). All the matches were played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The WODI matches formed part of the 2022–2025 ICC Women's Championship.
