Stadskanaal airfield (Dutch : Vliegveld Stadskanaal) ( ICAO : EHST) is a small ultralight aviation only airfield in the Netherlands 2  NM (3.7 km; 2.3 mi) east of Stadskanaal in the province Groningen. It has one 300 m (984 ft) grass runway in the direction 06/24.

2012 IPC Athletics European Championships

The 2012 IPC Athletics European Championships was a track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe. It was held in Stadskanaal, Netherlands and lasted from 23 to 28 June. The event was held in the Stadskanaal Stadium and was the last major European disability athletics event before the forthcoming 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Approximately 550 athletes from 38 countries attended the games. Several countries used the Championships to finalise the remaining places for the Paralympics.

Stadskanaal–Zuidbroek railway railway line

The Stadskanaal–Zuidbroek railway is a railway line in the Netherlands running from Stadskanaal to Zuidbroek, passing through Veendam. The line was opened in 1910. After closure of the line in 1953, the Veendam-Zuidbroek part of the line was reopened in 2011. The Stadskanaal-Veendam part is owned by STAR and used as a museum line, run with mostly steam trains.
