Students' Union of Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (SURGGP), Itanagar is the Student Union wing of Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Itanagar. [1] [2] [3]
Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic is a multi speciality technology oriented college located at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. It is also the first polytechnic college in Arunachal Pradesh under the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE), Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic has also earned the credit of being the first Institution in the state to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification in June 2006.
Itanagar is the capital of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The seat of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the seat of government of Arunachal Pradesh and the seat of Gauhati High Court permanent bench at Naharlagun are all in Itanagar.
The establishment of the union was in the year 2007.
Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic is located at Itanagar in the Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh in the foothills of the Eastern Himalaya. It is 30 km from Banderdewa, the border between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, and about 410 km from Guwahati. [4]
Recreation, Entertainment, Information, and Literary Activity (REILA), an annual recreational program, takes place every year in the month of February. This programme is being handled by the Students' Union of Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (SURGGP), Itanagar.

Arunachal Pradesh is one of the 29 states of India and is the northeastern-most state of the country. Arunachal Pradesh borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and is separated from China in the north by the McMahon Line. Itanagar is the capital of the state.
Peoples Party of Arunachal, a regional political party in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It was founded in September 1977 by Bakin Pertin Oken Lego and L.Wanglat as president, Vice President and General Secretary of the party. Tomo Riba resigned from PK Thungon government Congress Party and joined PPA as Vice President of the Party. Currently, Kamen Ringu is the Chairman of the party. They were in power in Arunachal until all of their MLAs defected back to Indian National Congress.
The Indian Youth Congress is the youth wing of the Indian National Congress party. The Indian Youth Congress was a department of the Indian National Congress from the period just after the Partition of India in 1947 until the late 1960s. While prime minister, Indira Gandhi gave the Youth Congress a new dimension by establishing it as a frontal organisation of the Congress Party, with the objective of doing social work and arguing against right-wing parties. Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was the first elected governor of the Indian Youth Congress; he later became Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary affairs in the Indian cabinet. Narayan Dutt Tiwari was the first President.
Anini is the headquarters of the Dibang Valley district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India. Anini was also the district headquarters of the undivided Dibang Valley district. It is a small underdeveloped town, mainly because of its remoteness. Yet, it still has basic road and air links to the rest of India. The Idu Mishmi tribal people constitute a majority here. The town is fully dependent on the nearest major settlement, Roing, which is in the Lower Dibang Valley District, for most commercial needs.
North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology is a science and technology oriented higher education institute in Nirjuli, Itanagar, Papum Pare district, in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Established in 1984, it is a deemed university, autonomous, fully funded and controlled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, Government of India.
The history of the Republic of India begins on 26 January 1950. The country became an independent nation within the British Commonwealth on 15 August 1947. Concurrently the Muslim-majority northwest and east of British India was separated into the Dominion of Pakistan, by the partition of India. The partition led to a population transfer of more than 10 million people between India and Pakistan and the death of about one million people. Indian National Congress leader Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of India, but the leader most associated with the independence struggle, Mahatma Gandhi, accepted no office. The new constitution of 1950 made India a democratic country.

Ram D. Pradhan is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer, who served as Union Home Secretary and Governor of Arunachal Pradesh during the Rajiv Gandhi government. Pradhan played a major role in the signing of the Assam Accord and the Mizo Accord. He has held Secretary-level positions at the international and national levels in the areas of commerce, defence and home. He was in service of the government of India for 36 years.
Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is the oldest university in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located in the Rono Hills of Doimukh village, about nine miles from the state capital, Itanagar. The foundation stone for the university was laid in 1984 by then-Prime Minister of India Late Smt. Indira Gandhi. The university was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi University in 2005 when UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was on a visit to the state.
