Sudhir Kumar Jain (also Sudhir K. Jain;born 4 July 1959) is the incumbent and 28th Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University. [3] He is a civil engineer by education and has formerly served three terms as the founding director of the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. [4] [5] He has carried out intensive research and development in the fields of seismic design codes,dynamic of buildings,and post-earthquake studies. [6] Beside these,Jain has actively participated in teaching,research activities and development in earthquake engineering focused on developing countries. [7] He is an elected fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering. [8] He was also elected a member of U.S. National Academy of Engineering (2021) for leadership in earthquake engineering in developing countries. [9]
He has served as the president of International Association of Earthquake Engineering (IAEE) from 2014 to 2018. [10] [11] He also served on the engineering and computer science jury for the Infosys Prize from 2019. [12]
Jain earned Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) in 1979,and masters,and doctoral degrees from the California Institute of Technology,Pasadena in 1980 and 1983 respectively. [13]

Uday B. Desai is an Indian academician and the founding director of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Inter IIT Sports Meet is the annual sports tournament of the Indian Institutes of Technology. It is organized in December,with the Aquatics events held separately in October. It is the longest-running Inter-collegiate meet where all IITs participate,having been held since 1961. This year (2023),the event was held at IIT Bombay and IIT Gandhinagar jointly.

Yogesh Moreshwar Joshi is an Indian chemical engineer,rheologist and the Pandit Girish &Sushma Rani Pathak Chair Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur. He is known for his studies on metastable soft matter and is an elected fellow of the Society of Rheology,Indian National Science Academy,Indian Academy of Sciences,and Indian National Academy of Engineering. In 2015,the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research,the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research,awarded Joshi the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology for his contributions to Engineering Sciences. In 2023,he received prestigious J C Bose fellowship constituted by the Science and Engineering Research Board,Government of India.
Subramaniam Ganesh is an Indian geneticist,molecular biologist and a professor at the department of biological sciences and bio-engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur. Known for his pioneering studies on Lafora progressive myoclonic epilepsy and other neurodegenerative disorders,Ganesh is an elected fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences,India. The Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India awarded him the National Bioscience Award for Career Development,one of the highest Indian science awards,for his contributions to biosciences in 2008.
Arun Kumar Shukla is an Indian structural biologist and the Joy-Gill Chair professor at the department of biological sciences and bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur. Known for his studies on G protein-coupled receptor,Shukla is a Wellcome Trust-DBT Intermediate Fellow and a recipient of the SwarnaJayanti Fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology. The Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India awarded him the National Bioscience Award for Career Development,one of the highest Indian science awards,for his contributions to biosciences,in 2017/18. He received the 2021 Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in Biological Science. He was awarded the Infosys Prize 2023 in Life Sciences his outstanding contributions to the biology of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs).
Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi is an Indian professor,education administrator and former director of IIT Roorkee. Previously,he has been the Dean (R&D),and former Deputy Director at IIT Kanpur. He has largely contributed to waveform shaping and sequence design,MIMO systems. Recently,he has been bestowed with additional charge of director (acting) of newly established IIT Mandi and served the office till January 2022.Thereafter,he was succeeded by Professor Laxmidhar Behera.
