SuperBot Entertainment (formerly known as Broodworks) was an American independent video game company formed in 2009 by Shannon Studstill and Chan Park, who both worked for Santa Monica Studio. [1] [2] The studio, based in Culver City, California, released their fighting game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on November 20, 2012 in North America, November 21, 2012 in Europe, November 22, 2012 in Australia, November 23, 2012 in the UK and January 31, 2013 in Japan. [3] The company, having gone dark since 2014, is considered defunct.

Company overview

The company was formed in 2009 by Sony Computer Entertainment. In early 2011, it was announced that the studio was working on an unannounced "combat heavy" multiplayer title for the PlayStation 3. [4] In April 2012, it was revealed that the game would be titled PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale , which released in November 2012 in most parts of the world. [5] After the release of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, in February 2013, Sony Computer Entertainment cut ties with the company due to inadequate sales. [6] [7] SuperBot Entertainment moved on to mobile development, releasing Cuddlefish Friends in 2013. [8] SuperBot's website went offline in 2014 [9] and their social media went dark after a February 5, 2014 post saying they were hard at work on a Cuddlefish Friends sequel, which was not released. [10]

Remote Play is a feature of Sony video game consoles that allows the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 to transmit its video and audio output to another device; previously this could only be a PlayStation Portable or PlayStation Vita. God of War is an action-adventure game franchise created by David Jaffe at Sony's Santa Monica Studio. Japan Studio was a Japanese video game developer based in Tokyo. A first-party studio for Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), it was best known for the Ape Escape, LocoRoco, Patapon, Gravity Rush and Knack series, the Team Ico games, Bloodborne, The Legend of Dragoon, and Astro's Playroom. In April 2021, Japan Studio was reorganized and merged with Team Asobi and other SIE studios.

Bluepoint Games Inc is an American video game developer based in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2006 by Andy O'Neil and Marco Thrush, the studio is known for video game remasters and remakes, such as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (2015), Shadow of the Colossus (2018), and Demon's Souls (2020). Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Bluepoint Games in September 2021.

<i>Entwined</i> (video game) 2014 rhythm game

Entwined is a rhythm game developed by Pixelopus, a studio which consists of former game design students and is part of SCE Worldwide Studios, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The game was announced at Sony's E3 media briefing on June 9, 2014 and was released worldwide on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4 on the same day. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita version were released approximately a month later, and since Entwined is a cross-buy title, these two versions are available at no extra cost for anyone who has purchased the PlayStation 4 version.
