Surobi District (Paktika)

Surobi, Sarobi or Sarubi District [1] (Pashto : سروبي ولسوالۍ, Persian : ولسوالی سروبی) is a district of Paktika Province, Afghanistan, with a population of 48,291 people. [2] It is situated northeast of Gomal, west of Barmal and south of Urgun and Sar Hawza. The Kharoti tribe of Ghilji Pashtuns have a strong presence here. [3]

Ibrahimkhel or Ibrahimkhil (Pashto:ابراهيمخيل) is a major Pashtun tribe, living in places such as Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Jowzjan, Qunduz, Mazar-e-sharif, Herat, Peshawar, Quetta Upper Dir and some other parts of Pakistan, as well as in a small village of Swat district named Biha near Matta. All the historical references show that the Ibrahimkhel are the descendants of the Ghiljis.

The Zadran, also spelled Dzadran or Jadran, is a Pashtun tribe that inhabits the Loya Paktia region in southeastern Afghanistan and parts of Waziristan in neighboring Pakistan. "Zadran: Pashtun tribe mainly residing in the “Zadran Arc” a 9-district area encompassing portions of the Khost, Paktya, and Paktika provinces."

Mohibullah Samim Governor of Paktika

Mohibullah Samim was appointed as the Governor of Paktika on 20 April 2010. He was born in the Waghaz district of southern Ghazni province.

Khairkot, also known as Zarghun Shar (زرغون‌ښار), Zarghun Shahr (زرغون‌شهر), or Katawaz (کټواز), is a town in and administrative seat of Khairkot District, Paktika Province, in eastern Afghanistan. The town is located within the heartland of the Sulaimankhel tribe of Ghilji Pashtuns.

Zadran District

Zadran District is a district of Paktia Province, Afghanistan. The district is within the heartland of the Zadran tribe of Pashtuns. The soccer player Djelaludin Sharityar was born in Zadran. The estimated population is 27,007 (2019).
