According to the Moldovan law on territorial administrative organisation, Moldova is divided administratively into the following administrative territorial units: districts, cities/towns and villages. The administrative territorial organization of Moldova is made on 2 levels:
- villages (communes), sectors and cities/towns (municipalities) constitute the first level,
- districts, Chișinău municipality, Bălți municipality and Bender municipality constitute the second level.
Cantemir is a town in Moldova. It is the administrative center of Cantemir District.
Glodeni is a city in the northwest of Moldova; it is the seat of Glodeni District. Its population as of 2012 was 11,600. One village, Stîrcea, is administered by the city.
Moldovans or Moldavians are the largest ethnic group of the Republic of Moldova, and a significant minority in Ukraine and Russia. Under the variant Moldavians, the term may also be used to refer to all inhabitants of the territory of historical Principality of Moldavia, currently divided among Romania (47.5%), Moldova (30.5%) and Ukraine (22%), regardless of ethnic identity.
Ungheni is a municipality in Moldova. With a population of 35,157, it is the seventh largest town in Moldova and the seat of Ungheni District.

Cornești is a city in Ungheni district, in central Moldova, with a population of 3,284 at the 2004 census. It is composed of the city itself, population 2,781, and the village Romanovca, population 503.

Sîngera is a town in Chișinău municipality, Moldova. In addition, two villages are administered by the town, Dobrogea and Revaca. At the 2004 Moldovan Census, the population of the town itself was 7,354, that of Dobrogea, 3,279, and Revaca, 976. The total population was 11,609. Trușeni is a commune in Chișinău Municipality, Moldova. It had a population of 7,952 at the 2004 Moldovan Census, and is a northwest suburb of the city. The commune is composed of two villages, Dumbrava and Trușeni.
