He has worked as a producer, music arranger, songwriter, television host, and solo artist; been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and the Christian Music Hall of Fame; and received gold albums for his music sales.

Written by Mark Hollis and Tim Friese-Greene, it was the title track on the band's second album and released as its first single in January 1984. It reached number 46 on the UK chart, but did better in several other countries, reaching number 33 in Germany, number 32 in New Zealand, number 25 in France and number 7 in Italy. It was also a success in North America, entering the Top 40 in both the United States (31) and Canada (30).

It was written by Kanye West, who also appears as a featured artist on it, and Harold Lilly, while production was handled by the former. Due to the song's use of a sample of Mandrill's 1978 song "Gilly Hines", penned by band members Claude Cave II, and Carlos, Louis and Ricardo Wilson, they are also credited as writers. Lyrically, "Talk About Our Love" is about a relationship that lacks support by family and friends; the music consists of an arrangement using a bass, keyboards, drums, and string instruments, the latter of which were provided by Israeli violinist Miri Ben-Ari.

It was written by band members Lisa Lopes and Tionne Watkins along with Anita McLoud, Edmund "Eddie Hustle" Clement, and Kandi Burruss for the group's fourth studio album, 3D (2002). Featuring production by Hustle, it was released as the album's lead single in September 2002, along with a previously unreleased song "Get Away". While the song contains vocals by Lisa Lopes, the music video for "Girl Talk" marked the band's first release without Lopes, following her death in April of the same year.

"One Love/People Get Ready" is a reggae/rhythm and blues song by Bob Marley & The Wailers from their 1977 album Exodus. It was first recorded in a ska style by Marley's original group, The Wailers in 1965 and was released as a single. This version was later included on their first singles compilation The Wailing Wailers in 1966. It was rerecorded as part of the 1970 medley All In One, which contained reggae reworkings of their early ska songs. This was released as a single and is also included on the compilation African Herbsman under the name "All in One". The version on Exodus was not released as a single until 9 April 1984, promoting the forthcoming greatest hits album Legend. However, the single became one of his biggest hits and has been included on many of Marley and the Wailers subsequent compilation albums.
Orville Richard Burrell CD, better known by his stage name Shaggy, is a Jamaican musician, singer, DJ and United States Marine who fought in the Persian Gulf War. He is best known for his hit singles "Oh Carolina", "Boombastic", "It Wasn't Me", and "Angel". He took his stage name from the character Shaggy, from the popular children's TV show Scooby-Doo.
Girlicious was an American girl group originally formed by Robin Antin, creator of the Pussycat Dolls, from The CW reality TV show Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious. The group was originally signed to Geffen Records and composed of members Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson, Chrystina Sayers and Natalie Mejia. Their self-titled debut album was released in Canada in August 2008 and reached number two on the Canadian Albums Chart. After Anderson left the group in June 2009, Girlicious signed with Universal Music Canada and released their second studio album, Rebuilt, in November 2010. Mejia and Sayers departed the group in February 2011. Nichole Cordova later announced the end of Girlicious, and her joining a new girl group called Girls United.
