Tarsus İdman Yurdu are a professional Turkish sports club based in Tarsus, Turkey. The club were founded in 1923 and they play at the Tarsus Şehir Stadium, which has a capacity of 4,189. They were named as "Tarsus İdman Yurdu Erkutspor" between 1983–1986 during the chairmanship of Erkut Kuzeyman, who was also a businessman.

Tarsus, Mersin Place in Mersin, Turkey

Tarsus is a historic city in south-central Turkey, 20 km inland from the Mediterranean. It is part of the Adana-Mersin metropolitan area, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Turkey with a population of 3 million people. Tarsus forms an administrative district in the eastern part of the Mersin Province and lies in the core of Çukurova region.

League participations

The TFF First League is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the Turkish Second League Category A after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called Türk Telekom Lig A in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to TFF First League prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1. Lig. In April 2012 Bank Asya withdrew as sponsor of the league. During the 2012-2016 seasons the league was known under the terms of a sponsorship deal as the PTT 1. Lig. Nowadays the league is called the TFF First League once again.

TFF Second League

TFF Second League or TFF 2. Lig, is the third level in the Turkish football league system. It was founded in the 2001–02 season with the name of Turkish Second League Category B as a continuation of the then second level division. In the 2005–06 season the name of the league was changed to Lig B. Since the 2007–08 season the league's current name is used along with sponsor names.

TFF Third League association football league

TFF Third League or TFF 3. Lig, is the fourth level in the Turkish football league system. It was founded in 2001–02 season as a continuation of then third level division Turkish Third Football League. 2010–11 is the 10th season of the league. In its tenth season the league was named Spor-Toto Third League due to sponsorship.

Mersin İdman Yurdu or Mersin İdmanyurdu was a Turkish sports club from Mersin, Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean Region. The team played in the Turkish first division for 11 seasons, and after the 1983–84 season the football team played in the Turkish second and third divisions. The team was promoted to the Turkish second level division after the 2008–09 season. MİY became the champions of the Turkish second division during the 2010–11 season and earned promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig during the 2011–12 season. The Çukurova Football League, also known as the Adana Football League, was founded as a regional football league for Adana and Mersin based clubs in 1923. The name of the league comes from Çukurova region. In some years clubs from Maraş and Malatya also participated in the league. In Adana, the football game was played during the 1910s. Adana Türk Gücü was the first Adana club founded in 1913. The league was played within a year until 1936. After that they were played in a season. In 1952 professionalism was introduced in the league, hence the name officially became Adana Profesyonel Ligi. After the introduction of the professional nationwide league in 1959, known as Süper Lig today, the league lost its first level status.
