Team CGW, short for Team Comics' Greatest World, is the group of five creators of the Comics' Greatest World line for Dark Horse Comics.

Comics' Greatest World was an imprint of Dark Horse Comics. It was created by Team CGW. Originally conceived in 1990, it took three years for the line to be released, which led to an industry-wide perception that it was created to capitalize on the speculator mania of the early 1990s. When the mania ended, most of the titles were canceled. Ghost, one of the imprint's more unorthodox titles, managed to survive the longest. It was canceled twice, first in early 1998, before being revived later that year and canceled again after a run of just less than two years.

Mike Richardson is an American publisher, writer, and Emmy-winning producer. In 1986, he founded Dark Horse Comics, an award-winning international publishing house located in Milwaukie, Oregon. Richardson is also the founder and President of the Things From Another World retail chain and president of Dark Horse Entertainment, which has developed and produced numerous projects for film and television based on Dark Horse properties or licensed properties.

Randy Stradley is an American writer and editor working in the comic book industry. As of 2016 he is Vice President of Publishing for Dark Horse Comics. He has written under pseudonyms Mick Harrison and Welles Hartley.

Barbara Randall Kesel is an American writer and editor of comic books. Her bibliography includes work for Crossgen, Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, and Marvel Comics.

With the exception of Richardson, who wrote the 1 page prologue at the beginning of each issue, each of the members wrote one of the four environment introductions: Stradley wrote The Vortex, Kesel wrote Golden City, Prosser wrote Arcadia, and Warner wrote Steel Harbor and penciled Arcadia Week 1 and Steel Harbor Week 3. Warner was also the Steel Harbor Week 3 cover artist.

After Team CGW

The group stayed mostly in charge of the line until it was replaced by and absorbed into Dark Horse Heroes. That line was headed by group editor Michael Eury and line editors Marilee Hord and Greg Vest.

Catalyst is a superhero team appearing in comics published by Dark Horse Comics under the imprint Comics Greatest World. It first appeared in Comics' Greatest World: Golden City Week 4. Important members of the team have included Grace, Law, and Titan.

Chris Warner is a comic book writer and artist for Dark Horse Comics. He worked extensively on their mid-1990s line of Comics' Greatest World and Dark Horse Heroes. He has also worked sporadically for other companies, such as DC Comics and Marvel Comics.

Steel Harbor is a fictional city which acts as one of the settings in Dark Horse Comics now dead line of Comics Greatest World. While the entire Team CGW was involved with the creation of each of the settings, Chris Warner was charged with the majority of design for the Steel Harbor locale. The city was based on a combination of Detroit and Watts during the period of their 1960s riots, only in the comic the violence is between superpowered gangs fighting for turf. One feature of various series was the commentary, supposedly on the radio, by a brassy talk-show host who bemoaned the plight of his city and called out the weak police and political powers in Steel Harbor for allowing the city to descend into such violence. Several series were set in Steel Harbor. Only Barb Wire was truly successful.
