The district is divided into the following communes: Thạnh Hóa (urban), Thủy Đông, Thủy Tây, Tân Đông, Tân Tây, Thạnh Phước, Thạnh Phú, Thuận Nghĩa Hòa, Thuận Bình, Thạnh An and Tân Hiệp.
