Lưu Thị Yến (pen names, Thụy An and Thụy An Hoàng Dân; 1916-1989) was a Vietnamese poet.

Life

Lưu Thị Yến was born in 1916 in Hà Nội. She was the daughter of Lưu Tiến Ích and Phùng Thị Tôn. In 1929, at age 13, her poem got published in Nam Phong. She was one of the writers associated with the Nhân Văn-Giai Phẩm movement. [1] Along with Nguyễn Hữu Đang she was one of the five most active participants in the movement and was imprisoned from 1958-1974. [2]

Her sisters are Cẩm Ly and Hà Phương who perform with her as part of the cast of Paris by Night. She is known in the Vietnamese American culture as the Vietnamese Pop Princess. Her real name is Trần Thị Minh Tuyết, which in English literally means "Morning Snow."

Lý Thần Tông (1116–1138), given name Lý Dương Hoán, was the fifth emperor of the Lý Dynasty, reigning over Vietnam from 1127 to his death in 1138. Becoming the ruler of Đại Việt at the age of twelve, Lý Thần Tông successfully maintained the order of the royal court and strengthened the stability of the country with the assistance of capable officials. For that reason, Đại Việt under Lý Thần Tông was able to witness a peaceful period like during the reign of his predecessors. However, Lý Thần Tông died at age 23 before passing the throne to his crown prince Lý Thiên Tộ.

Paris By Night 102: is a Vietnamese Paris By Night program produced by Thúy Nga Productions. Filming began on July 12, 2010, and continued through February 13, 2011 at Charles M. Schulz Theatre in Recreation Knott's Berry Farm, Buena Park, Southern California. The theme continues from Paris By Night 92: Nhạc yêu cầu and Paris by Night 96: Nhạc yêu cầu 2 but limited requirements required of the audience in the songs of composer Lam Phuong. The majority of performances were live theater performances and were filmed live. The DVD was released on April 15, 2011. In the DVD, Thuy Nga changed the mix is made by musician Hoai Phuong instead of Tung Chau and other musicians like the majority of previous productions of Paris by Night.
