The Majestic Majesty is the acoustic accompaniment to Portugal. The Man's fourth full-length album The Satanic Satanist and features all of the album's songs performed acoustically, except the track "Let You Down."
This release marks the first official release of any acoustic Portugal. The Man songs, often requested by fans and something for which the band had been renowned. The album's artwork is a contour line drawing of the artwork for The Satanic Satanist, itself a watercolor by the band's lead singer, John Gourley
The album was released digitally, and made available to purchase through the band's merchnow store, [1] and the iTunes and Amazon music stores in the deluxe version of The Satanic Satanist. It was also given away to those who pre-ordered The Satanic Satanist. It received a vinyl release courtesy of Suburban Home Records.
The titles "The Satanic Satanist" and "The Majestic Majesty" are references to The Rolling Stones' album "Their Satanic Majesties Request".

Their Satanic Majesties Request is the 6th British and 8th American studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released in December 1967 by Decca Records in the UK and by London Records in the US. It is their first to be released in identical versions in both countries. The album's title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires..." text that appears inside a British passport.

This partnership is not a traditional record contract, as the band "could work at their own pace and be intimately involved in all factors of their recording career."
Appetite for Adrenochrome is the debut album by the Sacramento punk rock band the Groovie Ghoulies. It was released in 1989 on their independent label, Crimson Corpse Records. John Baldwin Gourley is an American musician, singer, and songwriter from Alaska. He is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the Portland, Oregon rock band Portugal. The Man, with the hit song "Feel It Still". Gourley was previously the lead singer in post-hardcore band, Anatomy of a Ghost. Gourley is also a visual artist, who often uses the alias The Fantastic The.
The Rolling Stones in Mono is a box set by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released by ABKCO Records in September 2016. It contains most of the group's British and American studio albums from the 1960s in mono format, on fifteen compact discs or sixteen vinyl records.
