Empire Records is a 1995 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film that follows a group of record store employees over the course of one exceptional day. The employees try to stop the store from being sold to a large chain, and learn about each other along the way. The film was directed by Allan Moyle and stars Anthony LaPaglia, Robin Tunney, Rory Cochrane, Renée Zellweger, Ethan Embry, Johnny Whitworth and Liv Tyler. The film generated largely negative reviews and losses at the domestic US box office at its release but later went on to become a cult hit, helping to launch the careers of several of its stars.
Bryan Christopher Williams, known by his stage name Birdman, is an American rapper, record executive and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and public face of Cash Money Records which he founded with his older brother Ronald "Slim" Williams in 1991. Birdman released his eponymous debut album in 2002, and has gone on to release four solo studio albums in total. Aside from his solo career, he is also a member of the hip-hop duo Big Tymers, along with producer Mannie Fresh.

The term indie is sometimes used to describe a genre, and as a genre term, "indie" may include music that is not independently produced, and many independent music artists do not fall into a single, defined musical style or genre and create self-published music that can be categorized into diverse genres. The term ‘indie’ or ‘independent music’ can be traced back to as early as the 1920’s after it was first used to reference independent film companies but was later used as a term to classify an independent band or record producer.

Canadian Tire money, officially Canadian Tire 'money' or CTM is a loyalty program operated by the Canadian retail chain Canadian Tire. It consists of coupons, issued by the company, which resemble real banknotes. It can be used as scrip in Canadian Tire stores, but is not considered a private currency. The notes are printed on paper similar to what Canadian currency was printed on when they were still paper, and were jointly produced by two of the country's long-established security printers, British American Banknote Company (BABN) and Canadian Bank Note Company (CBN). Some privately owned businesses in Canada accept CTM as payment, since the owners of many such businesses shop at Canadian Tire. In Canadian Tire stores, CTM is accepted for Canadian money at par.

According to the MaggieMoo's website, there are currently 49 locations in 23 states, Singapore, and Puerto Rico; at its peak, the brand had 400 stores. The brand had a goal of opening over 1,000 stores. Considering the brand's contraction, this goal now seems untenable. The brand's parent company, Global Franchise Group, has removed all franchising information for the brand from their website. The brand's headquarters are in unincorporated Fulton County, Georgia. When MaggieMoo's was an independent company, it had its headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.

"Look Out Sunshine!" is a song by Scottish rock band The Fratellis from their second album Here We Stand. The song is the second single release from the album after "Mistress Mabel". The single was released on 18 August 2008 and peaked within the UK Singles Chart top 100 at number 70, marking the band's seventh single to appear in the UK top 75, but it fell off the chart the next week. On the Scottish Singles and Albums Chart, "Look Out Sunshine!" became the band's first number-one single and sixth top 10 hit, spending seven weeks in the top 100.

Perspective is the second studio album released by four-piece British band Lawson. The album was released on 8 July 2016. The album was preceded by the singles "Roads", "Money" and "Where My Love Goes". The album was recorded over the course of two years. Initial recording took place between March 2014 and April 2015; with additional recording sessions taking place between January and March 2016. The album introduces a more progressive and adult sound for the band, incorporating elements of synthpop amongst a heavier selection of electronic guitars.
