The Prodigal Son is the ninth album by progressive rock band Nektar released in 2001. It was their first studio album in over 20 years. The Prodigal Son includes two founding members, Roye Albrighton and Allan "Taff" Freeman.

The Call was an American rock band formed in Santa Cruz, California in 1980. The main lineup consisted of members Michael Been, Scott Musick, Tom Ferrier and Jim Goodwin. The band released nine studio albums over the next two decades before disbanding in 2000. Their 1986 song, "I Still Believe ", was covered by Tim Cappello and included in the 1987 film The Lost Boys. The band also achieved significant success with "Let the Day Begin" in 1989 which reached No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock chart and was later used as a campaign theme song for Al Gore's 2000 Presidential Campaign.
Nektar is an English progressive rock band formed in Hamburg, West Germany in 1969, by guitarist and lead vocalist Roye Albrighton, keyboardist Allan "Taff" Freemon, bassist Derek "Mo" Moore", and drummer Ron Howden.
Russell Taff is an American gospel singer and songwriter who grew up in Farmersville, California. He has sung a variety of musical styles throughout his career including: pop rock, traditional Southern gospel, contemporary country music, and rhythm and blues. He first gained recognition as lead vocalist for the Imperials (1976–81). One of his best-known performances is the song "Praise the Lord". He has also been a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, and occasionally tours with Bill Gaither in the Gaither Homecoming concerts. As a solo artist and songwriter, Taff is known for the 1980s anthem "We Will Stand". Taff has received various Dove and Grammy awards either as a solo artist or part of a larger musical group, most notably the Imperials.
The Prodigal Son is the second posthumous release by American contemporary Christian music pianist and singer Keith Green. His widow Melody Green assembled it from unreleased material and released it in 1983.
Long Trip Alone is the third studio album by American country music singer Dierks Bentley. It was released October 17, 2006 via Capitol Records Nashville. The album produced four singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Every Mile a Memory", the title track, "Free and Easy ", and "Trying to Stop Your Leaving". All singles went to the Top 10 on the chart. "Ever Mile a Memory" and "Free and Easy " both reached number one, the title track peaked at number 10, and "Trying to Stop Your Leaving" went to number 5. Brett Beavers, Bentley’s producer, helped Bentley co-write all of the songs on the album. The album peaked at number 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and at number 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Journey to the Centre of the Eye is the debut album from English progressive rock band Nektar that came out in November 1971. Though formally divided into 13 tracks, the entire album consists of a single continuous piece of music, with some musical themes which are repeated throughout the work. Because of its narrative nature, it has been called a rock opera and/or dense concept album. The story follows an astronaut who, while on a voyage to Saturn, encounters aliens who take him to their galaxy, where he is suffused with knowledge and wisdom. It is usually interpreted as a commentary on the nuclear arms race.

The different approach to recording, combined with a number of difficulties with the mixing, resulted in it being the band's heaviest work.

Time Machine is the 13th studio album by German-based English progressive rock band, Nektar. It is their first album of new material in over four years following Book of Days; their previous release Spoonful of Time was a covers album. It is final studio album to feature Roye Albrighton before his death in July 2016.
