Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia, is a country in Central and Southeast Europe, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. It borders Slovenia to the northwest, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the southeast, and shares a maritime border with Italy to the west. Its capital and largest city, Zagreb, forms one of the country's primary subdivisions, with twenty counties. Other major urban centers include Split, Rijeka and Osijek. The country spans 56,594 square kilometres, and has a population of nearly 3.9 million.
Croatia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest five times, and won the inaugural edition in 2003. Croatian broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT), a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), were responsible for the country's participation. Croatia participated in the first four editions, from 2003 to 2006, organising a national final to select the country's entrant. The first representative to participate for Croatia was Dino Jelusić with the song "Ti si moja prva ljubav", which finished in first place out of sixteen participating entries, with a score of 134 points. Croatia was absent from the contest between 2007 and 2013, but HRT decided to return to the contest in 2014 and selected their entry internally. In 2014, Josie finished in last place for Croatia with the song "Game Over", after which HRT again withdrew from competing the following year.
Hrvatska radiotelevizija, or Croatian Radiotelevision, is a Croatian public broadcasting company. It operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. HRT is divided into three joint companies – Croatian Radio, Croatian Television and Music Production, which includes three orchestras and a choir.
RTL is a Croatian free-to-air television network founded on 30 April 2004. It was owned by the RTL Group from 2004 to 2022. Since 1 June 2022, it is owned by the CME Group. It is the second commercial television network in Croatia that has a national concession, following Nova TV.
Nova TV is a Croatian free-to-air television network launched on 28 May 2000. It was the first commercial television network with national concession in the country and from 2004 until 2018 it was fully owned by the Central European Media Enterprises. In 2018, Direct Media purchased Nova TV and Doma TV.
Croatia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 29 times since making its debut at the 1993 contest. The Croatian participant broadcaster in the contest is Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT), which has selected its entrant at the Dora festival since 1993, excluding from 2012 to 2018. Croatia's best result in the contest is a second-place finish in 2024.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the fifth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in the Ahoy indoor sporting arena in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on 8 December. The host country was chosen by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) on 13 July 2006 and the host city was announced on 11 September 2006. AVRO won the rights to host the show over Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) of Croatia and the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) of Cyprus.
HRT 1 is a Croatian television channel, operated by public broadcaster Hrvatska Radiotelevizija (HRT). It is a generalist channel, whose diverse programming lineup includes documentaries, history, school, mosaics, news, sitcoms, movies, talk shows, and game-shows.

Mia Dimšić is a Croatian singer and songwriter. She represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Guilty Pleasure" which didn't qualify into the Grand Final.
Jelena Žnidarić, known professionally as Zsa Zsa, is a Croatian singer. She rose to fame by participating in the second season of X Factor Adria. Zsa Zsa is most known for her collaboration with Damir Kedžo on the song "Sve u meni se budi".
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 17 April 2024 to elect the members of the 11th Sabor. Prior to the elections, the government consisted of a coalition of the Croatian Democratic Union and Independent Democratic Serb Party, with parliamentary support of five national minority MPs, two MPs from the Croatian Social Liberal Party and Croatian Demochristian Party, and one independent MP, Silvano Hrelja.

The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2021 to select the Croatian entry for the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Fourteen entries competed in the national final on 13 February 2021 and "Tick-Tock" performed by Albina was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from ten regional juries and a public televote.
Albina Grčić, known professionally by the mononym Albina, is a Croatian singer. She began her career after participating in season three of The Voice Hrvatska where she finished third. She represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam with the song "Tick-Tock”.
Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom, with "Mama ŠČ!" performed by Let 3. The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora2023 to select the Croatian entry for the 2023 contest. The final took place on 11 February 2023, with a combination of jury voting and televoting selecting Let 3 to represent Croatia at the 2023 contest in Liverpool.
Croatia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" written and performed by Baby Lasagna. The Croatian participating broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) organised the national final Dora2024 to select its entry for the contest.
