The song "Medicine" was used on an episode of the American dance competition television show, So You Think You Can Dance? , on August 13, 2013, at the end of episode twenty of the third season (3x20) of CBS television show Person of Interest and in Covert Affairs ep 5x16 "Gold Soundz" during the final scene with Auggie and Annie talking about his leaving with Natasha. Tara Emily Simmons was an Australian musician from Brisbane, Australia. Simmons was proficient in voice, keys and sometimes cello and was known for her use of bedroom, bathroom and kitchen items to sample extra sounds for her recordings.

So You Think You Can Dance is an American reality television dance competition show that airs on Fox in the United States and is the flagship series of the international So You Think You Can Dance television franchise. It was created by American Idol producers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is produced by 19 Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions The series premiered on July 20, 2005, with over ten million viewers and ended the summer season as the top-rated show on television. Bootstraps is Jordan Beckett, an American musician, singer and songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Under the moniker Bootstraps, Beckett has released three studio albums, Bootstraps,Homage, and most recently Demo Love. Bootstraps also has one EP, To Each His Own. "Jar of Hearts" is the debut single by American singer Christina Perri. The song was released onto iTunes July 27, 2010, a week after its debut on So You Think You Can Dance. The song was included on Perri's debut EP, The Ocean Way Sessions (2010), and appeared on Perri's debut studio album, Lovestrong (2011). The song was co-written by Perri, Drew Lawrence, and Barrett Yeretsian. Perri drew inspiration for the song from a real-life experience with a love interest who wanted to rekindle a broken relationship. After its debut, the song was released onto iTunes where it later rose to the Top 20 spot in one week.

Stephen Laurel "tWitch" Boss is an American freestyle hip hop dancer, choreographer, actor, television producer, and television personality. In 2008, he was the runner-up in the American So You Think You Can Dance. Since 2014, he has been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a DJ. He is also featured in Ellen's Game of Games as a sidekick to DeGeneres. Since 2018, he and his wife Allison Holker have hosted Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings on the Freeform Network and Disney+.

Daughter (band)

Daughter are an English indie folk trio. Fronted by North London native Elena Tonra, the band was formed in 2010 after the addition of Swiss guitarist Igor Haefeli and drummer Remi Aguilella from France. They have released four EPs and three albums, and are currently signed to Glassnote and 4AD (Europe). After playing the local London circuit, they toured supporting Ben Howard around Europe and have since played headlining tours around North America, Europe and Australia.

Bastille (band) English indie pop band

Bastille are an English pop rock band formed in 2010. The group began as a solo project by lead vocalist Dan Smith, but later expanded to include keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist and guitarist Will Farquarson and drummer Chris "Woody" Wood. If You Leave is the debut album by Daughter released under 4AD on 18 March 2013. In anticipation of the album, a music video for the promotional single "Still" was released on 24 January 2013. It was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

<i>His Young Heart</i> 2011 EP by Daughter

His Young Heart is a four track EP by Daughter which was self-released by the band on 20 April 2011. It was re-released on July 3, 2012 on Glassnote Records who pressed it on 10" vinyl and made it available as a download. The cover image is an old family photograph of singer Elena Tonra. Tonra and Haefeli recorded this together as drummer Remi would join them later in the year.

The sixteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD), an American dance competition reality show on FOX, returned on June 3, 2019. The series has won numerous awards since its debut in 2005, including eleven Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, the most for any show. This panel of judges again features series creator Nigel Lythgoe, as well as the return of ballroom dance champion and expert Mary Murphy. New to the panel are choreographer Laurieann Gibson and B-boy dancer/choreographer Dominic "D-Trix" Sandoval, who serve as the third and fourth judges during auditions and live shows. Cat Deeley continues in her role as host for a fifteenth consecutive season, for which she has earned five Emmy Award nominations. The grand prize is $250,000, a cover article in Dance Spirit, and the title of "America's Favorite Dancer".

Tate McRae Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer

Tate Rosner McRae is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer. At the age of thirteen, she gained prominence as the first Canadian finalist on the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. McRae caught the attention of RCA Records in 2019 after her original song "One Day" (2017) went viral on YouTube, subsequently releasing her debut EP, All the Things I Never Said (2020). McRae soon gained wider recognition after her song "You Broke Me First" became an international hit. In 2020, McRae was the youngest musician featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
