Montell Du'Sean Barnett, known professionally as Montell Jordan, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer, best known for his 1995 single "This Is How We Do It". Jordan was the primary male solo artist on Def Jam's Def Soul imprint until leaving the label in 2003.
"Get It On Tonite" is the lead single released from Montell Jordan's fourth album of the same name. The song was produced by Brian "Lilz" Palmer and Sergio "PLX" Moore, who used a sample of Claudja Barry's 1976 single "Love for the Sake of Love". Thus far, "Get It On Tonite" has been Montell's last significant hit, having made it to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, to date his last single to do so. It also spent three consecutive weeks at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs February 5–19, 2000. It sold 800,000 copies domestically. A remix entitled "Get It on with LL and Montell", which featured two verses from labelmate LL Cool J, was also released as a single.
"Let's Ride" is the lead single released from Montell Jordan's third album of the same name. The song was produced by Teddy Bishop, arranged by R&B singer Case and featured verses from American rappers Master P and Silkk the Shocker.
"Roll On" is a song by British girl group Mis-Teeq. Produced by Blacksmith, it was recorded for the band's debut album, Lickin' on Both Sides (2001). The song was released on a double A-single along with a cover version of Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It" in June 2002, marking the album's final single. Let's Ride is the third studio album by American singer Montell Jordan. It was released by Def Jam Recordings on March 31, 1998 in the United States. The album peaked at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 and number eight on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, becoming Jordan's highest-charting album. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on May 4, 1998. The album spawned two hit singles, the title track, which went to number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and "I Can Do That", which made it to number 14 on the Hot 100.
Howie Do It was a Canadian/American comedy television series, co-commissioned by Global and NBC, that stars Howie Mandel. The series features practical jokes in the vein of earlier shows like Just for Laughs: Gags, Punk'd or Candid Camera – the supposed twist being that the cameras are in the open, not hidden as in the other series. Mandel appears, often incognito, in several of the jokes. After the big reveal, either Howie or one of his assistants then delivers the line "This is Howie Do It!" The theme song to the show is a remix of "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan. The show premiered on NBC and Global TV on January 9, 2009.
Let It Rain is the seventh and final studio album by Montell Jordan. It was released by Native Records on October 21, 2008 in the United States. The first single and music video from the album is "Not No More" featuring Cignature. The video was released on September 23, 2008 through a live vlog-cast hosted by Montell Jordan himself and followed by the release of the video exclusively on YouTube. Let It Rain peaked at # 67 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, while the single, "Me and U" made it to #71 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. It was his last before he went on to become a minister.

Hence the title of the album, all went to the number-one spot on the Billboard R&B chart, with five songs reaching the Billboard Hot 100 number-one spot: This Is How We Do It, Incomplete, Always on Time, Foolish and Stand Up.

Produced by Oji Pierce, "Somethin' 4 da Honeyz" was the follow-up to Montell's #1 hit, "This Is How We Do It". The official remix entitled the "Human Rhythm Remix" was produced by Derrick Edmondson and featured an appearance by Redman. Both the original and remix had promotional music videos released. The track sampled "Summer Madness" by Kool & the Gang.
