Lars Thomas Öberg (born 10 August 1958 in Malmberget) is a Swedish former competitive figure skater. He is a four-time Nordic champion (1973, 1976, 1978–79) and a nine-time Swedish national champion (1972–80). [1] He represented his country at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, and placed 14th. [2] A competitor at multiple World and European Championships, he finished in the top ten at the 1980 Europeans in Gothenburg.

Karl Emil Julius Ulrich Salchow was a Danish-born Swedish figure skater, who dominated the sport in the first decade of the 20th century.
Richard Totten "Dick" Button is an American former figure skater and skating analyst. He is a two-time Olympic champion and five-time World champion (1948–1952). He is also the only non-European man to have become European champion. Button is credited as having been the first skater to successfully land the double Axel jump in competition in 1948, as well as the first triple jump of any kind – a triple loop – in 1952. He also invented the flying camel spin, which was originally known as the "Button camel."
Denise Biellmann is a Swiss professional figure skater. She was the European and World Champion in 1981 and won the Swiss Championships three times.
Robin Cousins is a British former competitive figure skater. He is the 1980 Olympic champion, the 1980 European champion, a three-time World medalist (1978–1980) and four-time British national champion (1977–1980), obtaining all of these titles during his amateur career. He followed this with a successful career as a professional figure skater and later starred in ice shows as well as producing several of his own. He is able to spin in either direction, both clockwise and anti-clockwise, which is an unusual skill for a figure skater.
Jan Hoffmann is a German figure skater who represented East Germany in competition. A four-time Olympian, he is the 1980 Olympic silver medalist, the 1974 & 1980 World Champion, and a four-time European Champion.
Anett Pötzsch is a German former figure skater. She is the 1980 Olympic champion, two-time World champion, four-time European champion (1977–1980), and five-time East German champion (1976–1980).
Ernst Baier was a German figure skater who competed in pair skating and single skating. He became Olympic pair champion in 1936 together with Maxi Herber. The duo also won several World and European championships.
Gundula "Gundi" Busch was a German figure skater. She was the 1954 World champion, the 1954 European champion, and a two-time West German national champion.
Gillis Emanuel Grafström was a Swedish figure skater. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won three successive Olympic gold medals in Men's Figure Skating as well as an Olympic silver medal in the same event in 1932, and three World Championships. He and Eddie Eagan are the only athletes to have won a gold medal at both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Grafström has the further distinction of being the only person to have won an individual gold medal in both the Summer (1920) and Winter Olympics, although Eagan remains the only one to have managed the feat in different disciplines. Grafstrom is one of the few athletes who have competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympic games. He is one of the oldest figure skating Olympic champions.
Gennadi Mikhailovich Karponosov is an ice dancing coach and a former competitive ice dancer for the Soviet Union. With Natalia Linichuk, he is the 1980 Olympic champion and a two-time World champion.
Tassilo Thierbach is a German former pair skater. With partner Sabine Baeß, he is the 1982 World champion and a two-time European champion.
Alain Giletti is a French figure skater. He is the 1960 World champion, the 1955-1957 & 1960-1961 European champion and is a ten-time French national champion. At the age of 12, he represented France at the 1952 Winter Olympics, where he placed 7th. He placed 4th at the 1956 Winter Olympics, and 4th again at the 1960 Winter Olympics.
Oleg Vitalyevich Makarov is a Russian former pair skater who represented the Soviet Union. With his wife Larisa Selezneva, he is the 1984 Olympic bronze medalist, 1985 World silver medalist, 1988 World bronze medalist, and two-time European Champion. They were coached by Igor Moskvin.
Sergei Alexandrovich Chetverukhin is a former Soviet figure skater. He is the 1972 Olympic silver medalist, a three-time World medalist, and a four-time European medalist.
Peter Johansson is a Swedish retired competitive figure skater. He is a four-time Swedish national champion. He currently works as a coach in Boston, Massachusetts with Mark Mitchell.
Martin Šimeček is a Czech retired competitive ice dancer. With partner Kateřina Mrázová, he is a multiple Czech national champion. They placed 10th at the 1992 Winter Olympics, 8th at the 1994 Winter Olympics, and 13th at the 1998 Winter Olympics. They retired from competitive skating following the 1998 World Figure Skating Championships.
Ralph Burghart is an Austrian figure skating coach and former competitor. A seven-time Austrian national champion, he competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics and placed 18th.
Nils Håkon Thomas Callerud is a Swedish former competitive figure skater. A three-time Nordic champion, he represented Sweden at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble and at four European Championships.
Lars Arne Åkesson is a Swedish former competitive figure skater. He is a six-time Swedish national champion and two-time Nordic champion. He competed at four World Championships, six European Championships, and the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. At the Olympics, he placed 13th in compulsory figures, 15th in the short program, 18th in the free skate, and 17th overall. His best ISU Championship result was 9th, obtained at the 1985 Europeans in Gothenburg.
Irja Ester Helena "Leena" Pietilä, married surname: Vainio was a Finnish figure skater. She was a two-time Nordic champion and a seven-time Finnish national champion.
