A geographic coordinate system is a coordinate system that enables every location on Earth to be specified by a set of numbers, letters or symbols. The coordinates are often chosen such that one of the numbers represents a vertical position and two or three of the numbers represent a horizontal position; alternatively, a geographic position may be expressed in a combined three-dimensional Cartesian vector. A common choice of coordinates is latitude, longitude and elevation. To specify a location on a plane requires a map projection.

Thorildsplan is a small park in the residential area ofKristineberg in Stockholm, Sweden.

Kristineberg is a residential area of Kungsholmen, Stockholm. The land was bought by the city in 1920. Before that it was owned by Kristineberg Palace.

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous urban area in the Nordic countries; 965,232 people live in the municipality, approximately 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

Thorildsplan is northwest of Kungsholmen, west of Lindhagensgatan and north of Drottningsolmsvägen. Thorildsplan Stockholm Metro station was commissioned in 1952 when the Hötorget-Vällingby metro was opened. The park was named in 1925 after the writer Thomas Thorild (1759–1808). [1]

Thomas Thorild, was a Swedish poet, critic, feminist and philosopher. He was noted for his early support of women's rights. In his 1793 treatise Om kvinnokönets naturliga höghet he advocated gender equality.

The avenue's western end is at Victor Medina Street in the boundary between La Huerta and San Dionisio, as the continuation of Ninoy Aquino Avenue. Physically, Ninoy Aquino Avenue connects northbound to NAIA Road in Pasay which, in turn, continues west to Roxas Boulevard back in Parañaque, and then to Macapagal Boulevard, where it finally ends. Kilpauk Medical College Metro station is a Metro railway station on Line 2 of the Chennai Metro.
