The Dreiseenbahn branches southwards from the Höllentalbahn railway, from Freiburg im Breisgau to Donaueschingen, at Titisee station. Along its route it serves stations and halts at Feldberg-Bärental, Altglashütten-Falkau, Aha and Schluchsee, before terminating at Seebrugg.
The line is so called because it passes by the three lakes of Titisee, Windgfällweiher and Schluchsee.
On certain dates throughout the year historic steam trains are operated between Seebrugg, Titisee and Löffingen (Höllentalbahn) by IG 3-Seenbahn, an association of railway enthusiasts located in Seebrugg.
At 1,493 metres (4,898 ft) the Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, and the highest in Germany outside of the Alps. The local municipality of Feldberg was named after the mountain.

The Triptis–Marxgrün railway is a branch line in Germany that runs through the states of Thuringia and Bavaria, and which was originally built and operated by the Prussian state railways. It ran from Triptis via Ziegenrück, Bad Lobenstein and Blankenstein to Marxgrün. The only section still in service today is the stretch of line between Ebersdorf-Friesau and Blankenstein. The Thuringian section is also called the Oberlandbahn ; the Bavarian section the Höllentalbahn.
The Danube Valley Railway in Baden-Württemberg in south-western Germany is a 133.8-kilometre-long railway running from the city of Ulm to Immendingen, which is largely single-tracked and for the most part not electrified. The line is famous especially for its charming course through the Upper Danube Nature Park, and is particularly attractive to bicycle tourists. The Royal Württemberg State Railways and the Grand Duchy of Baden State Railways built the line as part of the railway projects undertaken between 1865 and 1890. The construction of the section between Tuttlingen and Inzigkofen was pushed through by the German general staff, for whom the Danube Valley Railway was seen as a strategic railway in case of another war with France. Since 1901, the Danube Valley Railway, together with the Höllentalbahn, form part of the pan-regional railway link from Ulm to Freiburg im Breisgau.
Berlin-Schöneweide is a railway station in Niederschöneweide, part of the Treptow-Köpenick borough of Berlin. It is served by the S-Bahn and regional trains, buses and trams. It was a terminal for long-distance trains until 2011.
The Wriezen Railway is a line in the northeast of the German states of Berlin and Brandenburg. It runs from Berlin to Werneuchen and formerly extended via Wriezen to Jädickendorf. Its terminus in Berlin from 1903 to 1949 was the Wriezener Bahnhof. The predominantly single-track line has operated only between Berlin-Lichtenberg station and Werneuchen since December 2006.
Donaueschingen station is a junction station in the south of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the only official Bahnhof (station) in the city of Donaueschingen. The city also has the Haltepunkte of Donaueschingen Allmendshofen, Donaueschingen Mitte/Siedlung, Donaueschingen Aufen and Donaueschingen Grüningen. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 4 station and has five platform tracks. It is used daily by about 100 trains operated by DB long-distance, DB Regio and the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn.
The Southern Black Forest refers to the highest part of the Black Forest which was heavily transformed by ice age glaciation south of a line roughly from Freiburg im Breisgau to Donaueschingen. The term High Black Forest is not quite identical; that usually includes the highest part of the Central Black Forest, southeast of the Elz valley, as well. The Southern Black Forest Nature Park also takes in this area, extending across the whole of the High Black Forest as well as several peripheral areas.
The Interessengemeinschaft 3-Seenbahn e.V. is a German heritage railway located in Schluchsee-Seebrugg in Black Forest. It was founded on 13 January 2008 to prevent the demolition of the former freight yard in Seebrugg. At certain dates all over the year the volunteers organize and operate vintage train rides on the Three Lakes Railway and on the Höllentalbahn
Neustadt (Schwarzw) station is one of two stations in Titisee-Neustadt in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The other is Titisee. It is located in Neustadt at 805 metres above sea level on the Höllentalbahn, which links Freiburg with Donaueschingen. The station has three platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 5 station. Established in 1887, the entrance building is now heritage-listed and houses among other things a DB agency with ticket sales.
