Tian Ye (Chinese :田野; born 29 July 1982 in Heilongjiang) is a Chinese cross-country skier and biathlete.
He participated as a cross-country skier at the 2006 Winter Olympics in the classical 15 kilometre race (53rd), in the sprint race (53rd) and in the team sprint (18th).
After this season he switched to biathlon. At the 10 km sprint of the 2007 Asian Winter Games he finished in 5th place.

Bjørn Erlend Dæhlie is a Norwegian businessman and retired cross-country skier. From 1992 to 1999, Dæhlie won the Nordic World Cup six times, finishing second in 1994 and 1998. Dæhlie won a total of 29 medals in the Olympics and World Championships between 1991 and 1999, making him the most successful male cross-country skier in history.
Marit Bjørgen is a former Norwegian cross-country skier. She is ranked first in the all-time Cross-Country World Cup rankings with 114 individual victories. Bjørgen is also the most successful sprinter in Cross-Country World Cup history, with 29 victories. She headed the medal table at the 2010 Winter Olympics by winning five medals, including three gold. A five-time Olympian, her five Olympic medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games brought her total number of medals up to a record 15, the most by any athlete in Winter Olympics history.
Thailand sent a delegation to compete at the Winter Olympic Games for the first time at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States from 8–24 February 2002. The delegation consisted of a single representative, cross-country skier Prawat Nagvajara. He failed to finish the 30 kilometre freestyle mass start and placed 67th in the sprint
Hannu Kalevi Manninen is a Finnish nordic combined athlete. Debuting at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer at the age of 15, he took his first medal three years later at the age of 18 when he won silver in the 4 × 5 km team event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, he won a gold medal in the 4 × 5 km team event at the age of 23. He has five other Nordic skiing World Championships medals, earning three golds and two bronzes. He has two other Olympic team medals as well.

Macedonia sent a delegation to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from 12 to 28 February 2010. The Macedonian delegation consisted of three athletes, alpine skier Antonio Ristevski and two cross-country skiers, Rosana Kiroska and Darko Damjanovski. The nation's best finish was by Ristevski in the men's giant slalom, where he placed 53rd.
Alexey Yurevich Poltoranin is a Kazakh cross-country skier who has competed at the international senior level since 2004. He has three World Cup wins, one in 2010 and two in 2013. In the 2013 World Championship in Val di Fiemme he won two bronze medals. Most of his best results are in the classic technique.
Andrew "Andy" Musgrave is a British cross-country skier. He has competed in the World Cup since 2008 and represented Great Britain at the 2009 World Championships and the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics.

Maryna Mykolayivna Antsybor is a Ukrainian cross country skier who has competed internationally since 2005. She represented Ukraine at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympics. She won a gold and a bronze medal at the 2013 Winter Universiade as well as a silver medal at the 2011 Winter Universiade.. She competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics, in Women's 10 kilometre classical, Women's 30 kilometre freestyle, Women's 15 kilometre skiathlon, Women's sprint, and Women's 4 × 5 kilometre relay.
Rory Michael Morrish is an Irish cross-country skier who participated in the 2006 Winter Olympics, as well as multiple world championships. Morrish previously competed in orienteering, becoming a cross-country skier via the discipline of ski-orienteering. In March 2001 Morrish became the first ever Irish competitor to take part in ski-orienteering when he participated in the long and short races at the Rovaniemi round of the World Cup, finishing 32nd in both. At the 2005 World Ski Orienteering Championships, Morrish finished 53rd in the long-distance competition, 59th in the middle-distance race and 55th in the sprint. Morrish was selected as the flag bearer for the Irish team in the 2006 Winter Olympics closing ceremony. During the 2011 World Championships, Morrish received attention for racing with wooden skis.
Tián, or T'ien in Wade-Giles is a Chinese surname. An alternative transliteration of "田" from Cantonese is Tin, from Hokkien is Thinn. It appeared in the Hundred Family Surnames text from the early Song dynasty. It also means "field". In 2019 it was the 34th most common surname in mainland China.
Luxembourg sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7–23 February 2014. This was Luxembourg's eighth appearance at a Winter Olympic Games. The Luxembourgian team consisted of one athlete in cross-country skiing, Kari Peters. In the only event he contested, the men's sprint, he finished in 79th place. He withdrew from the 15 km classical due to illness.
Vedrana Malec is a Croatian cross-country skier who has been competing since 2006. She competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, which was her first Winter Olympics. She was selected to carry the Croatian flag at the closing ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Iivo Henrik Niskanen is a Finnish cross-country skier who has competed in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup since 2011. He is a three-time Olympic champion.

Wang Qiang is a Chinese cross-country skier. He competed in the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. Wang finished 2nd at the World Cup sprint race in Drammen, Norway on March 3, 2022, making him the first Chinese athlete to ever ascend the podium in a World Cup competition. By the end of the season he finished 36th in the World Cup league table, putting him ahead of Liu Yuanyuan to become the best Chinese cross-country skier of all time.
The People's Republic of China (PRC) was the host nation at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing which took place from 4 to 20 February 2022. As a host, China sent its largest ever contingent delegation of 387 personnel to the games, of which 176 were athletes.
