Tianfu New Area (simplified Chinese :天府新区; traditional Chinese :天府新區; pinyin :Tiānfǔ Xīnqū) was officially launched in December 2011. The establishment of Chengdu Tianfu New Area aims at reconstructing a modern international urban area suitable for residence, industry and commerce. It focuses on modern manufacturing industry and high-end service clusters. The planning scope of Tianfu New Area includes the southern part of Chengdu High-tech Zone, Longquanyi District, Shuangliu County, Xinjin County, Jianyang City, Pengshan County of Meishan City and Renshou County. It involves in total 3 cities, 7 counties (city, district) and 37 towns and villages . The total area is planned to cover 1578 square kilometers.

It is understood that the first 84 projects of Chengdu Tianfu New Area include 51 industry projects with the investment of 169.5 billion RMB (including 27 industrial projects with investment of 82.35 billion RMB and 24 service projects with investment of 87.15 billion RMB), 29 infrastructure projects with investment of 43.4 billion RMB, and 4 ecology projects with investment of 1.5 billion RMB. One major project in the Tianfu New Area is the construction of the New Century Global Centre(complete), Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and the Chengdu Contemporary Arts Centre. Another major project is the 900-acre (5,463 mu) Meishan California Smart City (MCSC) development, which is focused on renewable energy, energy generation, distribution, storage, testing, inspection, and certification, and new technologies. The first Legoland Themepark in China will be located in Meishan.

Chengdu–Dujiangyan intercity railway railway line

The Chengdu–Dujiangyan intercity railway is a dual-track, electrified, passenger-dedicated, higher-speed rail line in Sichuan Province, connecting the provincial capital, Chengdu with the satellite city of Dujiangyan. The line is 65 kilometres (40 mi) in length with 15 stations. China Railways CRH1 train set on the line reach a maximum speed of 220 kilometres per hour (140 mph) and make the full-trip in 30 minutes,before 2018. The line was built in 18 months and entered into operation on May 12, 2010. The railway is built to withstand an 8.0-magnitude earthquake. The Chengdu–Dujiangyan intercity railway has two branch lines : Pengzhou Branch line is 21.2 kilometres (13.2 mi) in length with 6 stations, and Lidui Branch line is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) in length with 3 stations. In 2019, China Railways CRH6A-A (Tianfu) train sets on the line started to operate up to 200 kilometres per hour (120 mph).

West Triangle Economic Zone Place

The West Triangle Economic Zone is an economic zone designated by the Chinese government comprising Chengdu, Chongqing and Xi'an. Created as part of China's Western Development strategy, the West Triangle Economic Zone contributes nearly 40% of Western China's GDP. Furthermore, Chongqing is one of China's five National Central Cities, while both Chengdu and Xi'an are Regional Central Cities.

Chengdu–Mianyang–Leshan intercity railway(simplified Chinese: 成绵乐客运专线; traditional Chinese: 成綿樂客運專線; pinyin: Chéng-Mián-Lè Kèyùn Zhuānxiàn) is a higher-speed intercity railway in Sichuan Province that connects Mianyang, Chengdu, Deyang, Meishan, Emei and Leshan. The line is 314 km (195 mi) in length and can accommodate trains traveling at the speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). Construction began in 2008 and was completed on June 29, 2014. Revenue service began on December 20, 2014.

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is an airport being constructed to serve Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan province and a major air hub. The site of the airport has been chosen at Lujia Town, Jianyang, Chengdu, 51 kilometres (32 mi) south-east of the center of Chengdu. It is also named after the Tianfu New Area, a development zone for Chengdu in which the airport is located. Construction began May 2016 and the airport is scheduled to open in 2020. It will operate as a second airport for Chengdu with the existing Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport continuing to operate.

Qianhai Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone in Guangdong, Peoples Republic of China

Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone is a commercial development in Shenzhen, Guangdong that is also known as Qianhai New District. Located in Nanshan District and encircled by the Shuangjie River, Yueliangwan Boulevard, Mawan Boulevard and Qianhai Bay, Qianhai covers an area of approximately 15 square kilometres (5.8 sq mi), comprising almost entirely reclaimed land. The project is expected to be completed by 2020.

Chengdu BRT

Chengdu Bus Rapid Transit is a Bus Rapid Transit system in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in the People's Republic of China. The current system consists of a loop line integrated with the Chengdu Second Ring Road with dedicated bus lanes running in the center two lanes of the expressway. Transfers are available to several Chengdu Metro stations. The line began a free trial run on May 31, 2013, and started official operation on June 11, 2013. It has 29 center platform stations located in expressway median which requires special buses with the doors on the left. The loop is served by Lines K1, K1A, K2 and K2A. All buses have wifi. A new 7.8 km (4.8 mi) radial line heading northeast from the BRT loop to Qingbaijiang District is under construction. The line, called the Fenghuang Shan BRT, is scheduled to open in 2017. Another 4.5 km (2.8 mi) elevated BRT line heading south of the BRT loop is also currently under constriction. This line is known as the Jiannan Avenue BRT and is projected to open in 2018. Additional BRT lines are planned to radiate from the loop with lines heading west to Wenjiang District, east via Shanbanqiao Road and south to Tianfu New Area. Additionally another BRT loop along the Third Ring Road was proposed.
