Tianjin Grand Bridge

Tianjin Grand Bridge (Langfang–Qingxian viaduct) is a railway viaduct bridge that runs between Langfang and Qingxian, part of the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. [1] It is one of the longest bridges in the world with a total length of about 113,700m, or 70.6 miles. It was completed in 2010 and opened in 2011. At the time Guinness World Records recorded it as the second longest bridge in the world. [2]

The design of the elevated track was chosen on the one hand to avoid numerous individual structures for crossing roads and railways, and on the other to shorten the construction period. In addition, the railway line requires less land area in this design: a railway embankment requires 28.4 hectares per routed kilometer, the bridge but only 10.9 ha, less than half the area. [3]

The bridge consists of 32 m long box girders weighing 860 tons each. These girders were created in two workplaces along the bridge, brought to the installation site on the bridge section already installed, and then placed on the piers by a special crane. [3]

The Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway is a Chinese high-speed railway that runs 117 km line between Beijing and Tianjin. Designed for passenger traffic only, the Chinese government built the line to accommodate trains traveling at a maximum speed of 350 km/h (217 mph), and currently carries CRH high-speed trains running speeds up to 330 km/h (205 mph).

Beijing Daxing International Airport Beijings second international airport

Beijing Daxing International Airport, located on the border of Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province, is Beijing's second international airport. The name of the airport was announced on September 14, 2018. It has been nicknamed "starfish". The terminal building is one of the largest single-structure airport terminals in the world, with an area of more than 700,000 m2 (7,500,000 sq ft). It was completed on June 30, 2019. The opening ceremony for the airport was held on September 25, 2019, and the airport opened to the public on September 26, 2019. The first commercial flight, China United Airlines KN5302 from Ordos, landed at Beijing Daxing at 10:12 (UTC+8), September 26, 2019.

Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge

The Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge crosses the Yangtze River in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Construction of the bridge started in 2006 and it was completed in 2010. The bridge has two main spans of 336 m (1,102 ft) it is one of the largest arch bridges in the world. It carries six tracks: two for the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway, two for the Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu high-speed railway and two for line S3 of the Nanjing Metro.

The Jiaxing-Shaoxing Sea Bridge, sometimes shortened to Jiashao Bridge, is the world's longest and widest multi-pylon cable-stayed bridge. From end to end, it stretches 10.14 km (6.3 mi) across the Qiantang River estuary, at Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. The main bridge is 2,680 m (8,790 ft) long and 55.6 m (182 ft) wide and carries an expressway with eight traffic lanes. Construction started December 2008, and the toll bridge opened for traffic on July 20, 2013.

Tianjin–Baoding intercity railway

Tianjin–Baoding intercity railway, also known as Tianjin-Baoding Passenger Line, is a high-speed railway line connecting Tianjin with Baoding in Hebei province. Starting from Tianjin West railway station and finally to Baoding railway station, the railway length is 158 km (98 mi) and with a maximum design speed of 250 km/h (160 mph). The project was jointly developed by the Ministry of Railways, Tianjin and Hebei Provincial Governments, supplying a total investment of 24 billion yuan. Construction began in March 2010 and the original plan was to be opened to traffic in 2013, however the progress of construction has experienced numerous work stoppages with completion delayed until December 28, 2015. Future high speed rail connections have been proposed such as a branch to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport currently under construction, allowing this airport to better serve the greater Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
