Tierra Nueva is a town and municipality in the state of San Luis Potosí in central Mexico.It has close to 5,000 inhabitants and is at 1,780 meters above sea level.
San Luis Potosí, commonly called SLP or simply San Luis, is the capital and the most populous city of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. It is the municipal seat of the surrounding municipality of San Luis Potosí. The city lies at an elevation of 1,864 metres. It has an estimated population of 824,229 in the city proper and a population of approximately 1,221,526 in its metropolitan area, formed with the neighbour city of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez and other surrounding municipalities, which makes the metropolitan area of Greater San Luis Potosí the eleventh largest in Mexico.

The largest municipality by land area is Santo Domingo which spans 4,322.60 km2 (1,669.0 sq mi), and the smallest is Huehuetlán with 71.50 km2 (27.61 sq mi). The newest municipalities are El Naranjo, created out of Ciudad del Maíz, and Matlapa, carved from Tamazunchale, both established in 1994.

Santa Maria del Rio is one of the 58 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. The municipality is located in the southern part of the state, approximately 48 kilometers east of the city of San Luis Potosí. Santa Maria del Rio has a land area of 1,655 square kilometers, with 37,290 inhabitants. As of 2005, 12,000 were living in the town of Santa Maria del Rio. The area is famous for its rebozos, being the cradle of the blue and white rebozo de bolita. The Rebozo Caramelo is woven there.

The St. Louis the King Cathedral Also San Luis Potosí Cathedral Is a Catholic cathedral that functions as the seat of the archdiocese of San Luis Potosí in Mexico. It is located in the historic center of the state capital, on the eastern side of the main square. The building we currently know was built in 1670 and was completed in 1730. It is a cathedral from 1854. It is dedicated to St. Louis King of France.
