Tilak Pariyar (Nepali :तिलकपरियार) is a Nepalese politician currently serving as the Governor of Karnali Province. He was appointed Governor,as per the Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal by the President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on 9 November 2021. [3] He previously served as the 2nd Governor of Province No. 2 of Nepal. [4] [5] He is former member of the 1st Nepalese Constituent Assembly from Banke-1 constituency. [6]
Pariyar was born in Liwang,Rolpa district on 31 October 1943 to Hasta Bahadur Pariyar and Bhakti Devi Pariyar. He did his secondary education and Bachelor degree from India. Pariyar is married to Chandra Pariyar,with whom he has four sons and four daughters. [2]

Ratneshwar Lal Kayastha is a Nepalese politician and former Governor of Province No. 2. He was appointed as a governor of Province No. 2 by the Government of Nepal on 17 January 2018. He served as a Governor of Province No. 2 from 19 January 2018 to 03 November 2019.

Somnath Adhikari affectionately known as Pyasi,is a Nepalese politician serving as the 2nd and current Governor of Province No. 1 of Nepal. He is former member of the National Panchayat from 1986 to 1991 and member of Pratinidhi Sabha from 1991 to 1994. He is an active politician of CPN (ML) now CPN (UML) from 1968 and served as the district president of Kaski and later he hold the president post of the party election committee.

In 2051 BS,he was the Executive Chairman of the Nepal Tea Development Board and in 2054 BS,He served as the Deputy Chairman of the District Development Committee of Jhapa District. In 2056 BS. He was a CPN UML Candidate for House of Representatives from Jhapa 3 (constituency) but he lost the election and In 2017 Nepalese local elections. He was again CPN UMLCandidate for the post of Mayor of Mechinagar Municipality but lost the election.

The first Karnali Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 40 members were elected to the assembly,24 of whom were elected through direct elections and 16 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Mahendra Bahadur Shahi from the CPN and Jeevan Bahadur Shahi from the Nepali Congress served as chief ministers during the term of the assembly. Raj Bahadur Shahi served as the speaker of the assembly and Pushpa Bahadur Gharti served as the deputy speaker.
