Yuen Long is an MTR station located in the northeastern part of Yuen Long Town, Yuen Long District, between Kam Sheung Road and Long Ping stations on the West Rail Line. It is an interchange between the West Rail Line and the Light Rail Yuen Long Stop. The station is quite popular for the abundance of residential buildings nearby. Developers continue to develop housing near the station, with hopes to further increase the usage of the station.
Tin Shui Wai is an MTR station located in Ping Shan near Tin Shui Wai New Town, Yuen Long District. It is the only heavy rail station serving Tin Shui Wai, which has a population of around 300,000.

Tin Shui Wai New Town is in the northwestern New Territories of Hong Kong. It is 25 kilometres due northwest of Central, Victoria, Hong Kong on land reclaimed from low-lying areas south of Deep Bay, next to historic Ping Shan. Route 705 and Route 706 are Light Rail loop services of the MTR system in Tin Shui Wai in the northwestern New Territories, Hong Kong. Route 705 operates in an anticlockwise direction, and commenced service on 22 August 2004. Route 706 serves the clockwise direction, and began running on 9 April 2004.
Kingswood Villas is a private housing estate in Tin Shui Wai, New Territories, Hong Kong. It has a total of 58 residential blocks and 15,808 units in six phases. It is the first private housing estate in Tin Shui Wai and one of the largest private housing estates in Hong Kong. It was developed by Cheung Kong Holdings from 1991 to 1999.

Sun Yuen Long Centre is a private housing estate and shopping centre in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong, above Light Rail Yuen Long Terminal and next to MTR West Rail Yuen Long Station. Starting on 1 September 2015, the new replacement name is YOHO MALL II when at the same time opened a new shopping mall on the opposite called YOHO MALL I along Castle Peak Road. It consists of five 31-floor high-rise buildings developed in 1993 by Sun Hung Kai Properties and Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation.
