Tirana is the capital and largest city of Albania. It is located in the centre of the country, enclosed by mountains and hills with Dajti rising to the east and a slight valley to the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. 2001–02 Albanian Cup was the fiftieth season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began on August 18, 2001 with the First Round and ended on June 1, 2002 with the Final match. The winners of the competition qualified for the 2002-03 first round of the UEFA Europa League. KF Tirana were the defending champions, having won their eleventh Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by KF Tirana.
