The Bodrog is formed by the confluence of the rivers Ondava and Latorica near Zemplin (village) in eastern Slovakia. Hernádnémeti is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County in northeastern Hungary. It is situated on the left bank of the Hernád River, 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Miskolc. The village is 120 metres (390 ft) above sea level. It can be reached by car via highway 37 or by train from the Hernádnémeti–Bőcs train station, which is located in the neighboring village of Bőcs.
