Tjørring Idrætsforening is an association football club based in Tjørring, a suburb of Herning, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1945, it is affiliated to DBU Jutland. The team plays its home matches at Tjørring Stadion, which has a capacity of 1,200.

The club received some media coverage [1] [2] [3] when they gained promotion to the second division, in spite of only finishing sixth in their Denmark Series pool, from which only two teams promote. [4] However, since the rules state that a maximum of eight Superliga-second teams are allowed in the second division, [5] and eight Superliga clubs' second squads already were qualified for the second division, and four of the top five spots were occupied by Superliga clubs' second squads, [4] Tjørring was given the promotion spot. This was their third promotion in three seasons. [3]

Colours

The club's distinctive colour has often been commented on, as they are atypical in Danish football. Originally, the club's colours were yellow and black. But in 1983, it was decided that the club should have new colours. The choice was placed in the hands of the English Football League First Division, so the winner of the match in the upcoming Tipslørdag , would be Tjørring IF's new colors. Tipslørdag broadcast the match between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, a match which West Ham won 3–0 and thus the colors were chosen. As a result, Tjørring IF has since played in claret and sky blue that characterise them today. [6]

Danish 2nd Division

The 2nd Division is a semi-professional association football league for men and the third division in Denmark. It is organised by the Divisionsforeningen on behalf of the Danish FA (DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i fodbold (Herre-DM) and is positioned between the second-tier 1st Division and the fourth-tier Denmark Series in the Danish football league system. Boldklubben Fremad Amager is a Danish professional football club based in the district of Amager Vest, Copenhagen. As of the 2020–21 season, the club's senior men's team play in 1st Division, the second-tier of professional football in the country. The club consists of an amateur department and a professional section, that is wholly owned by Fremad Amager Elite ApS – a private limited company created on 2 December 2013, initially with 80/20% ownership split between the new investors and the remaining 20% by the members – and small portion by the club's amateur department. The club have primarily played their home games at Sundby Idrætspark since the stadium's inauguration in 1922. Fremad Amager's last spell in the highest football league in Denmark was in the autumn of 1994. KFUM Roskilde

KFUM's Boldklub Roskilde is an association football club based in the town of Roskilde, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1929, it is affiliated to DBU Zealand. The team plays its home matches at Lillevang Idrætscenter where it has been based since 1979. The Danish football league system, also known as the football league pyramid, refers to the hierarchically interconnected league structure for association football in Denmark, in which all divisions are bound together by the principle of promotion and relegation. Within men's association football, the top two professional levels contain one division each. Below this, the semi-professional and amateur levels have progressively more parallel divisions, which each cover progressively smaller geographic areas. The top four tiers are classed as nationwide, while the fifth tier and below are classed provincial leagues. Teams that finish at the top of their division at the end of each season can rise higher in the pyramid, while those that finish at the bottom find themselves sinking further down. In theory it is possible for even the lowest local amateur club to rise to the top of the system and become Danish football champions one day. The number of teams promoted and relegated between the divisions varies, and promotion to the upper levels of the pyramid is usually contingent on meeting additional criteria, especially concerning appropriate facilities and finances.

Tarup-Paarup Idrætsforening, commonly known as Tarup-Paarup IF or TPI, is an association football club based in Odense, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1962 after the football departments of Tarup Idrætsforening and Paarup Gymnastikforening merged, it is affiliated to the regional DBU Funen football association.
