Todalen is a village on the north shore of the Vinjefjorden in Aure Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the municipal center of Aure. Until the beginning of the 19th century, it was a municipal center with a lensmann and council. Todal had a post office until 1956, a steamboat connection to the town of Kristiansund and primary school until 1968. It is now best known for its festival, Rock mot ras, based on an idea by Kristian Todal.

Vinjefjorden or Vinje Fjord is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. It begins at the village of Vinjeøra in Hemne Municipality and flows west through the municipalities of Aure, Halsa, Tingvoll, and Kristiansund. At its western end, it flows into the Talsjøen and Freifjorden. The Halsafjorden, Skålvik Fjord, and Valsøyfjorden all branch off of the 53-kilometre (33 mi) long Vinjefjorden. The central part of the Vinjefjorden is called the Arasvikfjorden. European route E39 runs along the southern shore of the fjord for most of its length.

It is the church for the Aure parish which is part of the Ytre Nordmøre prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. Valsøyfjord is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 156-square-kilometre (60 sq mi) municipality existed from 1894 until 1965. The municipality included the land surrounding the Valsøyfjorden and its entrance at the Arasvikfjorden. It included a small part of island of Ertvågøya and the whole island of Valsøya as well on the mainland. The main church for the municipality, Valsøyfjord Church was located in the village of Valsøyfjord. The administrative centre was the village of Engan. Stemshaug (municipality) Former municipality in Møre og Romsdal, Norway

Stemshaug is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 157-square-kilometre (61 sq mi) municipality existed from 1914 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality included the eastern part of the island of Skardsøya and the mainland to the east and south of there surrounding the Dromnessundet and Torsetsundet straits and the Årvågsfjorden. The Tjeldbergodden area on the mainland was also part of Stemshaug. The village of Stemshaug was the administrative centre of the municipality.
