Toe Naing Mann (Burmese : တိုးနိုင်မန်း, pronounced  [tó nàiɰ̃ máɰ̃] ; born 29 June 1978 [1] ) is a Burmese businessman and founder of Red Link Communications, a major Burmese telecommunications group. [2] Toe Naing Mann's father is Shwe Mann, a former military general and Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw. [3] He has a Ph.D in geology. [4] Toe Naing Mann is a key advisor for the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw's Commission for the Assessment of Legal Affairs and Special Issues. [4]

Toe Naing Mann is married to Zay Zin Latt, [1] the daughter of Khin Shwe, a business tycoon who owns Zaykabar Company. Cherry FM radio station, owned by Zay Zin Latt, was pressured to suspend its operation after her father in law Shwe Mann was purged from USDP Chairman post in August 2015. [5]

The Union Solidarity and Development Party is an ultranationalist, pro-military political party in Myanmar. Alongside the National League for Democracy, it is one of Myanmar's two principal national parties. USDP is the successor to the former ruling military junta's mass organisation, the Union Solidarity and Development Association, and serves as the electoral proxy of the Tatmadaw (military), which operates as a state within a state. Many of its political candidates and leadership are retired generals. It supports authoritarian military leadership. Nay Toe is a Arakanese film actor and comedian with the Burmese traditional anyeint troupe Htawara Hninzi. He won Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards for Best Actor three times: in 2009 with Moe Nya Einmet Myu, in 2015 with Nat Khat Mhar Tae Tite Pwal, and in 2017 with Tar Tay Gyi. He also won the Star Award for the film Bridge of Clouds in 2018. He is one of the highest-paid actors in Myanmar.

Aung Thet Mann's father is Shwe Mann, a former military general and Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw. He graduated from the Yangon Institute of Economics. Aung Thet Mann is married to Khin Hnin Thandar.

Khin Shwe Burmese business tycoon and politician who served as a Member of parliament in the House of Nationalities for Yangon Region № 9 constituency from 2011 to 2016. He is the chairman of Zaykabar Construction, one of the country's largest construction companies. He also serves as chairman for the National Development Group of Companies, Myanmar Tourism Board and the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association.

Zaykabar Company Limited is a major Burmese conglomerate with interests in construction and telecommunications. The company was founded by Khin Shwe in 1990. Zaykabar and its owner Khin Shwe have been placed on the American sanctions list since 2007, for its close ties with the Burmese military.

General elections were held in Myanmar on 8 November 2015, with the National League for Democracy winning a supermajority of seats in the combined national parliament. Voting occurred in all constituencies, excluding seats appointed by the military, to select Members of Assembly to seats in both the upper house and the lower house of the Assembly of the Union, and State and Region Hluttaws. Ethnic Affairs Ministers were also elected by their designated electorates on the same day, although only select ethnic minorities in particular states and regions were entitled to vote for them.

Nandar Hlaing is a Burmese film actress of Mon descent. She was one of the leading actresses of Myanmar from mid 90s to mid 2000s. She won the 1998 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards for best supporting actress for her performance in Shwe Natha San-Ein. She also won the 2006 Academy Award for best actress.

Melody World is a televised singing competition broadcast in Myanmar by Myawaddy TV. Several prominent Burmese singers, including Chan Chan, Irene Zin Mar Myint, and Ni Ni Khin Zaw, made their musical debuts on Melody World.
