Toftøyna or Toftøy is an island in Øygarden municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 7.5-square-kilometre (2.9 sq mi) island is the southernmost of the main islands of Øygarden. It is connected by bridge to the island of Rongøy (to the north), to the small island of Turøy (to the southwest), and to the island of Misje in Fjell municipality (to the south). Toftøyna is connected to the mainland by a series of bridges by heading south via Misje island. [1]

There are 2 main settlements on the rocky island: Vikavågen on the southeastern shore and Torsteinsvik on the northwestern shore. The main road on the island is Norwegian County Road 561 which runs between the two villages, connecting it to the surrounding islands. The Hjeltefjorden flows along the eastern shore of the island and the North Sea lies to the west. There are two small straits to the north and south of the island, separating it from the neighboring islands of Rongøy and Misje.

The island municipality was mostly located on the island of Holsnøy, where the administrative centre of Frekhaug is located. The Sotra Bridge is a suspension bridge which crosses Knarreviksundet between Knarrevik in Øygarden Municipality and Drotningsvik on the mainland of Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It carries two road lanes and two narrow pedestrian paths of National Road 555, providing a fixed link for the archipelago of Sotra. The bridge is 1,236 metres (4,055 ft) long, has a main span of 468 metres (1,535 ft) and a clearance of 50 metres (160 ft). In 2007, it had an average 25,494 vehicles per day.

Sotra or Store Sotra is the name of a large island in Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway, located just west of the city of Bergen. It is part of a pair of islands called 'Sotra' and 'Litlesotra' that are part of a large archipelago stretching from Fedje southwards along the coast of Norway. The larger island of the two is Store Sotra, and the smaller of the two is Litlesotra. Roughly 28,700 (2017) people live on the two islands of Sotra, with the larger island having a population of about 19,100 (2017) and 9,589 (2017) living on the smaller island.

Rong is a village in Øygarden municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village takes up most of the island of Rongøyna. The main road in the village is Norwegian county road 561 which runs north-south and connects the island to Toftøyna island to the south via the Rongesundet Bridge and to the island of Blomøyna to the north.

Flatøy is an island in Alver Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 2.2-square-kilometre (0.85 sq mi) island lies in the district of Nordhordland, just north of the city of Bergen. The main village on the island is Krossneset on the southern part of the island. The northern part of the island, on the southwest shore of Kvernafjord, is very sparsely inhabited. Historically, the island was one of the two main islands of the old Meland Municipality.

The 88.8-square-kilometre (34.3 sq mi) island lies to the north/west of the mainland, between the islands of Radøy to the north and Askøy to the south. The highest point on the island is the 324-metre (1,063 ft) tall Eldsfjellet, a mountain located about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of the village of Rossland. The island is hilly and marshy, with the majority of the residents living along the southern shore. The largest settlement on the island is the village of Frekhaug on the southern shore.

Algrøyna or Algrøy is an island in Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 4.9-square-kilometre (1.9 sq mi) island lies just west of the large island of Sotra and north of the small island of Lokøyna. There are a series of bridges connecting it to the island of Sotra, which in turn is connected to the mainland. The highest point on the island is the 78-metre (256 ft) tall mountain Hillefjellet. The eastern third of the island is uninhabited.

Herdla is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1871 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed a large group of about 2,000 islands and skerries covering about 115-square-kilometre (44 sq mi) of land area, to the northwest of the city of Bergen in what is now parts of Øygarden, Alver, and Askøy municipalities in Vestland county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the small island-village of Herdla. The municipality included the northern third of the island of Holsnøy, the northern third of the island of Askøy, and the islands of Misje, Turøy, Toftøy, Rongøy, Blomøy, Ona, Bognøy, and many smaller surrounding islands.

Litlesotra, or sometimes Lille Sotra, is an island in Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is part of the Sotra island group which makes up the southern part of a larger archipelago of islands from Fedje south through Øygarden. The 16.7-square-kilometre (6.4 sq mi) island has about 10,000 residents. The main settlement on the island is Straume. Other settlements include Knarrevik, Foldnes, and Brattholmen. The island is connected to the mainland via the Sotra Bridge. It is also connected to the large island of Sotra, via a series of bridges over the island of Bildøy.

Turøyna or Turøy is an island in Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 1.67-square-kilometre (0.64 sq mi) island lies just west of the islands of Toftøyna and Misje. Prior to 1964, the island was part of the old municipality of Herdla. Then from 1964 until 2020 it was part of Fjell municipality.

Rongøyna or Rongøy is an island in Øygarden municipality in northwestern Vestland county, Norway. The 2.7-square-kilometre (1.0 sq mi) island is located in the Øygarden archipelago, north of the island of Toftøyna, east of Ono, and south of Blomøyna. The village of Rong covers the majority of the island. The island is connected to the island of Toftøyna via the Rongesundet Bridge, which crosses the Rongesundet strait and there is a short bridge over the Ulvsundet strait on the north side of the island.

Cross Link is a proposed fixed link which would connect the municipalities of Øygarden, northern Askøy, and Alver in Vestland county, Norway. The road is planned to give better transport within Nordhordland and from there to Askøy and Øygarden.

Seløyna or Seløy is an island in Øygarden municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The 8.7-square-kilometre (3.4 sq mi) island is the northernmost of the large populated islands in the Øygarden archipelago. It is connected to the island of Alvøyna by a short bridge over the Vikesundet strait. The small island of Førehjelmo lies just to the north of Seløyna, and there is a small bridge connecting to it.

Toftøya or Toftarøyna is an island in Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county, Norway.
