George Frederick Wheldon was an English sportsman. In football, he was an inside-forward with good footwork and an eye for goal who played for England and several Football League clubs, in particular for Small Heath and Aston Villa. In cricket, he was a right-handed batsman and occasional wicket-keeper, who played county cricket for Worcestershire in their early seasons in the first-class game.
Eric Fred Brook was an English footballer who played in the outside left position. Brook was also an England international. He was a muscular player with 'one of the fiercest shots in pre-war football' and was a good penalty taker. Brook is regarded as one of Manchester City's and England's greatest ever players. He has been described 'as a brilliant roving forward for Manchester City and England' and 'one of the great names of British football'.

James Hampson was an English professional footballer. He spent eleven seasons at Blackpool, where he remains record goalscorer with 252 goals in 373 games, and is still regarded as one of the best centre forwards to play for the club.
George Samuel Hunt was an English footballer who scored 169 goals from 294 appearances in the Football League playing for Chesterfield, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday. An inside forward or centre forward, Hunt was capped three times for England in 1933. After he finished playing, he went into coaching with Bolton Wanderers.
Albert "Pat" Beasley was an England international footballer who made more than 400 appearances in the Football League. He also became a manager.

Lewis Stoker was an English professional footballer who played as an attacking right half. Born in Wheatley Hill, County Durham, he spent most of his professional career at Birmingham, for whom he played 246 games in all competitions, including 230 in the First Division. He moved on to Nottingham Forest in 1938, made 11 Second Division appearances, and retired during the Second World War. He won three full caps for England between 1932 and 1934, and played once for the Football League representative team. After retiring from football he worked firstly at the BSA factory and then for the Wimbush bakery both in Small Heath[Birmingham] near the StAndrews Football ground where he play most of his football. Lewis died in the city at the age of 69.
Charles Frederick Calladine was an English professional footballer who made 162 appearances in the Football League for Birmingham and Blackburn Rovers. An inside forward or wing half, Calladine also played senior football with Midland League club Scunthorpe & Lindsey United and Guildford City of the Southern League.
Albert John "Jack" Elkes was an English professional footballer who played as an inside left for various clubs between the two world wars.
