Thomas Ian Pauling AO KC (born 13 December 1946) is an Australian lawyer and a former Administrator of the Northern Territory.
Born in Sydney,Pauling was educated at Drummoyne Boys' High School,and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Sydney Law School (Syd). He was admitted to the Bar in New South Wales in 1969,and worked for the NSW Public Solicitor. [1] In March 1970,he moved to Darwin in the Northern Territory,where he practised as a barrister [2] and lived in Fannie Bay. [3]
He was made a Queen's Counsel (QC) in 1984,and was Solicitor-General of the Northern Territory from 1988 to 2007. [4] [5]
In September 2007,he was appointed Administrator of the Northern Territory,replacing Ted Egan. [6] He was sworn in by the Governor-General of Australia,Michael Jeffery,on 9 November 2007. [7] His term expired on 31 October 2011 when Sally Thomas was sworn in as the first female Administrator of the Northern Territory. [8]
In the Queen's Birthday Honours of 2008,Pauling was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for his significant services to the Northern Territory. [9]

Grant Ernest John Tambling,AM is an Australian politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 1980 to 1983 and then a Senator for the Northern Territory from 1987 to 2001,representing the Country Liberal Party. In federal parliament,he sat with the National Country Party,later renamed National Party. He later served as Administrator of Norfolk Island from 2003 to 2007.

One of her first engagements in the role was to welcome Barack Obama,the President of the United States,to Darwin during his visit in November 2011.
Brian Frank Martin was the fourth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. He was appointed to that position on 26 February 1993 when the former Chief Justice Austin Asche took up appointment as Administrator of the Northern Territory. Chief Justice Martin was appointed a Judge of the Court in 1987 and,following his retirement,still assisted the Court as an Acting Judge having been appointed to that position in 2004.

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is the main museum in the Northern Territory. The museum is located in the inner Darwin suburb of Fannie Bay.
