Tomasz Konina (23 June 1972 – 26 August 2017 [1] ) was a Polish theatre and opera director and stage designer.
Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1972, Konina graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw in 1996.
He made both his theatre and opera debut in 1998: Chekhov's Uncle Vanya at the Teatr Ateneum in Warsaw and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro at the Wrocław Opera.
In 2002 he was granted the scholarship of Vilar Young Artists Programme (presently: Jette Parker Young Artists Programme) [2] at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London.
Graduate of the University of Economics in Wrocław (Managerial Postgraduate Studies on Business Management, Institute of Contemporary Management, at the Faculty of Management, 2013). [3]
From 2007 to 2015 he was the artistic and executive director of the Jan Kochanowski Dramatic Theater in Opole. [4]

As director of the theatre in Opole he invited the cooperation of many famous artists like: Agnieszka Holland, Maja Kleczewska, Aleksandra Konieczna, Monika Strzępka, Michał Borczuch , Mikołaj Grabowski , Mikołaj Mikołajczyk , Paweł Passini , Jacek Poniedziałek, Anna Smolar , Cezary Tomaszewski and many others. He has enabled many theatrical debuts for people who have later become recognised artists, such as Krzysztof Garbaczewski , Paweł Świątek and Jędrzej Piaskowski.[ citation needed ]

Anna Cymmerman is a Polish operatic soprano. She studied at the Academy of Music in Łódź where she majored in Vocal Acting and Performance and graduated with honors in June, 2000. While a student, she debuted as a soloist in the Grand Theatre, Łódź. There, she performed in Polish as Blanche in Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites directed by Christopher Kelm. Her performance was appreciated both by critics and viewers. She won a competition whose judges included Ewa Podleś and Andrzej Drabowicz. She has since performed in opera productions in Austria, Denmark, Holland, and Germany. Her performance in Karol Szymanowski's Stabat Mater at Chicago's International Music Theater was considered a great success.

Henryk Baranowski was a Polish theatre, opera and film director, actor, stage designer, playwright, screenwriter, and poet. He is best known for his starring role in the film Dekalog: One directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski, and also appeared as Rosa's brother Josef in Rosa Luxemburg directed by Margarethe von Trotta and as Napoleon in Pan Tadeusz directed by Andrzej Wajda. He directed over 60 theater and opera productions in Europe, Russia and the US and was the Artistic Director of the Teatr Śląski in Katowice in the mid 2000s.
