Top Girl is the second extended play by Canadian-South Korean singer G.NA. It features the title track of the same name, "Top Girl". The EP was released on August 23, 2011.

Release and promotion

The music video for the lead single, "Banana", was released on August 21, 2011. The mini-album and music video for "Top Girl" were released on August 23.

G.NA began promoting the mini-album on KBS's Music Bank on August 26, 2011, with a performance of "Top Girl". She was expected to promote the song "Banana" on music shows as a follow-up song to "Top Girl", but it was deemed inappropriate after the board had reviewed.

4Minute was a South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by Cube Entertainment. The members of the group were Nam Ji-hyun, Heo Ga-yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Kim Hyun-a, and Kwon So-hyun. The group was known for its edgy dance-pop style and "girl crush" image that attracted a large female fan base.

Hyuna South Korean singer-songwriter

Kim Hyun-ah, better known by the mononym Hyuna, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper and model. She debuted as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls in February 2007. After leaving the ensemble shortly after, Hyuna subsequently left JYP Entertainment and joined the girl group 4Minute, under Cube Entertainment. 4Minute debuted in June 2009 and went on to become one of the most popular girl groups in the country. In 2010, Hyuna began a solo career with a style she described as "performance-oriented music". Her solo debut single "Change" charted at number-two on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.

Sistar South Korean girl group

Sistar was a South Korean girl group formed in 2010 by Starship Entertainment. The group consisted of Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom. Their debut studio album So Cool was released on 9 August 2011. Their second album, Give It to Me, was released on 11 June 2013. Their biggest hits include "So Cool", "Alone", "Touch My Body", "Loving U" and "Give It to Me". Their fourth single, "So Cool," debuted at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart as well as the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100 singles chart, starting a streak of 9 consecutive number-one hits before the group's disbandment in 2017.

<i>2NE1</i> (2011 EP) 2011 EP by 2NE1

2NE1, also known as 2NE1 2nd Mini Album, is the second and final extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group 2NE1. It was released on July 28, 2011, by YG Entertainment and distributed by KMP Holdings. It contains six songs composed and produced by Teddy Park and Kush, and five of them were released as official digital singles. "Don't Stop the Music" was initially released as the commercial feature single "Don't Stop the Music " in December 2010. A Japanese version of the EP, titled Nolza, was released by YGEX on September 21, 2011.

EXID South Korean girl group

EXID, is a South Korean girl group formed in 2012. The group currently consists of five members: Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin and Jeonghwa. EXID debuted in February 2012, with the single "Whoz That Girl". Though the album gained some attention, it was not until 2014 that the group unexpectedly gained popularity with the single "Up & Down", which reached number one on the Gaon Singles Chart four months after release due to a fan-recording of a live performance becoming a viral video.

Apink South Korean girl group

Apink is a South Korean girl group formed by Play M Entertainment. The group debuted on April 19, 2011, with the extended play (EP) Seven Springs of Apink. Apink currently consists of Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Son Na-eun, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young. Originally a seven-piece, member Hong Yoo-kyung left in 2013 in order to complete her studies, and On April 29, 2021, Play M Entertainment officially announced that Naeun had left the agency following the expiration of her exclusive contract, while the other five members of Apink had renewed their contracts with the agency. However, she remains as a member of Apink.

<i>Full Moon</i> (EXID EP) 2017 EP by EXID

Full Moon is the fourth extended play by South Korean girl group EXID. It was released on 7 November 2017 by Banana Culture. This marks the return of member Solji, who was absent from the group previous EP due to health issues. This time, the member participated in the recording process but will be absent from the promotions and the title track's music video.

<i>Summer Magic</i> (EP) Extended play by Red Velvet

Summer Magic is the second special extended play and the seventh overall by South Korean girl group Red Velvet, marketed as their special "summer" EP following The Red Summer, which was released in July 2017. The EP is also the group's third major release to focus on their "Red" concept. Released on August 6, 2018, the EP contains seven tracks, including the lead single "Power Up" and the English version of "Bad Boy" as a bonus track, making it their first song to be released in English.

Power Up (song) 2018 single by Red Velvet

"Power Up" is a Korean song recorded by South Korean girl group Red Velvet for their second special Korean extended play, titled Summer Magic (2018). Characterized as an electro-pop song with elements of chip-music, the song was penned by Kenzie and was produced by production duo Moonshine, Ellen Berg Tollbom and Swedish singer-songwriter Cazzi Opeia, whom worked on the group's previous single "Peek-a-Boo". It was released on August 6, 2018, as the lead single of Summer Magic by SM Entertainment and iriver as the South Korea distributor, whilst the Japanese version was later released as the third and final single from the group's second Japanese extended play Sappy on April 24, 2019, by Avex Trax.

<i>Oh My God</i> (EP) 2020 EP by (G)I-dle

Oh My God is the second Japanese extended play by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. The album was released by Universal Music Japan on August 26, 2020 after a year since Latata released. It contains Japanese versions of songs previously released "Oh My God", "Uh-Oh", "Senorita" and "Dumdi Dumdi" as well as one original Japanese track, "Tung-Tung (Empty)" which was composed by member Minnie.
