Samut Songkhram is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand.
Hat Yai is a city in southern Thailand near the Malaysian border. Located at 7°1′N 100°28′E, it is 946 km (588 mi) south of Bangkok, and has a population of 158,218 (2012) in the city itself and about 800,000 in the greater Hat Yai area. Hat Yai is the largest city of Songkhla Province, the largest metropolitan area in the south, and the third largest metropolitan area of the country. It is often mistaken for being the provincial capital. In fact, Songkhla is the capital and the center of administration and culture while Hat Yai is the business center.

Thanon Chira Junction railway station is the main railway station in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. The station is on the south side of the city moat in Nakhon Ratchasima. There are 18 daily trains serving the station. There are also four to six special trains during the Thai New Year, Songkran, and other festivals. In the 2008 census, Thanon Chira Junction railway station served nearly 350,000 passengers.
Thanaleng railway station, also known as Dongphosy Station, is a railway station in Dongphosy village, Hadxayfong district, Vientiane Prefecture, Laos. It is located 20 km (12 mi) east of the Lao capital city of Vientiane and 4 km (2.5 mi) north of the border between Laos and Thailand along the Mekong River. The station opened on March 5, 2009, becoming part of the first international railway link serving Laos. Originally intended for use as a passenger station, Lao officials have stated their intention to convert it to a rail freight terminal to provide a low-cost alternative to road freight, the main mode of transport for goods entering Thailand. The station provides a connection between Vientiane and the capital cities of three other ASEAN nations, and several major Southeast Asian ports.
The Maeklong Railway is a 1,000 mm railway that runs for nearly 67 kilometres (42 mi) between Wongwian Yai, Bangkok, and Samut Songkhram in central Thailand. The line consists of two sections: the eastern Mahachai Line, which runs between Samut Sakhon and Wongwian Yai with 18 stations, and the Ban Laem Line, which runs between Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram with 15 stations. The two stretches are separated by the Tha Chin River at Samut Sakhon. The only way to connect between the stations on the opposite sides of the river is by boat.
Sam Sen railway station is a railway station in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and is owned by the State Railway of Thailand. It is served by the Northern, Northeastern and Southern lines. All passenger trains passing must stop at this station. Sam Sen Station is on Thoet Damri Road, Sam Sen Nai, Phaya Thai District. About 3,000-5,000 people use this station daily.
Yommarat Halt is a railway halt in Bangkok. It is owned by the State Railway of Thailand and serves the Northern, Northeastern and Southern Line. It is on Sawankhalok Road in Thung Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi District, Bangkok, to the north of Yommarat level-crossing. The trains that stop at this station are only commuter services and some ordinary services. Not very far from the halt is Uruphong Halt which is a separate halt for the Eastern Line. Yommarat was refurbished since 2017 and was used as an access point for railway passengers to the Royal Crematorium during the death and funeral of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Northern Line is a railway line in Thailand. The line heads north terminating at the northern port of Chiang Mai. The line is 751 kilometres (467 mi) between Hua Lamphong Railway Station and Chiang Mai Railway Station. It is the second longest railway line in Thailand. The line first opened in 1896. Major cities served by the line include Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Sawan, Phitsanulok, Lampang, and Chiang Mai. The popular Nakhon Phing Express service operates on the line. The line was severely affected by World War II.

In Na Mueang Sub-district, Mueang Chachoengsao District, Chachoengsao Province. Its former name is Paet Riu. The station is a class 1 railway station 70 km (43.5 mi) from Bangkok railway station.
Yang Prasat Halt Railway Station is a defunct railway station on the Suphanburi Line, located in Amphoe Ban Pong, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. The station is on the west side of the track, together with Don Khun Wiset. The platform is 200 metres in length and has only one track.
