As of 2000, Martinique had 2,105 km of paved highways.
There is a part of the N5 road that has been upgraded as a motorway, running from the capital Fort-de-France through Lamentin, Ducos and Rivière Salée until Les Coteaux.
Martininique has now(2018) only one railway line in operation: The little-known 2.5 km long Le Train des Plantations is a heritage railway that runs from the Rhum Museum in Sainte-Marie through some sugarcane and banana plantations over two Bailey bridges to the Banana Museum.
In former times several narrow gauge sugarcane railways existed.Saint-Pierre had horse-drawn trams, which had an unusually narrow gauge. At least two steam locomotives are preserved in an optically refurbished condition, but not operational.

Ahmedpur is a census town in Sainthia CD block in Suri Sadar subdivision of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Ahmedpur is under the jurisdiction of Sainthia police station. The census town is remembered in the area for its sugar mill and as one end of the vintage narrow gauge railway. The office of the Block Development Officer, Sainthia Block is situated here, adjacent to the Ahmedpur railway station. It hosts a growing local business centre, being well connected with Kolkata and other cities of West Bengal via railway.
The Froissy Dompierre Light Railway is a 600 mm narrow gauge light railway running from Froissy to Dompierre-Becquincourt, through Cappy, in the Somme department, France. It is run as a heritage railway by APPEVA and is also known as P'tit Train de la Haute Somme. It is the last survivor of the 600 mm narrow gauge trench railways of the World War I battlefields.
Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport, is the international airport of Martinique in the French West Indies. Located in Le Lamentin, a suburb of the capital Fort-de-France, it was opened in 1950 and renamed in 2007, after author and politician Aimé Césaire.

Le Train des Plantations of the Les Rails de la Canne à Sucre association is a 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) long, privately owned heritage railway with Usine Sainte-Marie's (USM's) original gauge of 3 feet 10 inches (1,168 mm) in Sainte-Marie in Martinique.
The Tavannes–Noirmont railway is a metre-gauge railway in western Switzerland. It was operated by the Tavannes–Noirmont Railway, which was formed in 1913 from the merger of the Tramelan-Tavannes Railway and the Tramelan-Breuleux-Noirmont Railway. The line was electrified in 1913 and has belonged to the Chemins de fer du Jura (CJ) since 1944.
