Tripyla (Greek : Τριπύλα) is a former community in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trifylia, of which it is a municipal unit. [2] The municipal unit has an area of 69.696 km2. [3] Population 354 (2011). The seat of the community was in Raptopoulo.

The village is inhabited during winter by only 10-20 people due to extreme snow. However, the population rises to 4,000 people during the summer. There are many restored houses, inns, restaurants and cafes in the village. The inhabitants are mainly native Aromanians.
