Trundholm municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune ) in West Zealand County on the northwest coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark, in a region or landscape known as Odsherred. The municipality covered an area of 163 km², and had a total population of 11,309 (2005). Its last mayor was Hans Møller Olsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.
The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Højby.
Because the former municipality of Trundholm is located near the end of a peninsula and because it features a long spit of land, Zealand's Point ( Sjællands Odde ), at its northwest which stretches out into the Kattegat, it is surrounded by much water. Two former municipalities — Nykøbing-Rørvig to the northeast and Dragsholm to the southwest— are also on this peninsula. To the east is Nykøbing Bay (Nykøbing Bugt), an inlet of the larger Isefjord, to the north is Nyrup Bay (Nyrup Bugt) and Hesselø Bay (Hesselø Bugt),to the west of the point is the Kattegat, and to the south of the point is Sejerø Bay (Sejerø Bugt).
Ferry service via Mols-linien connects the former municipality at the town of Sjællands Odde northwest over the Kattegat to the Danish mainland, the Jutland peninsula, at Århus and Ebeltoft.
By 1 January 2007 Trundholm municipality ceased to exist, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It merged with existing Dragsholm and Nykøbing-Rørvig municipalities to form the new Odsherred municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 355 km² and a total population of 32,739 (2005). The new municipality belongs to the Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").

The site of its municipal council is the town of Nykøbing Sjælland.
Guldborgsund is a municipality in Region Sjælland in Denmark, created on 1 January 2007 from six (6) former municipalities on the two islands Lolland in the west and Falster in the east bordering the Guldborgsund strait. It covers an area of 903.15 km² (2013) and has a total population of 61,219. Its neighboring municipalities are Lolland to the west and Vordingborg to the north. Its administrative seat is in the town of Nykøbing Falster. Its mayor as of 1 January 2010 is John Brædder from the local political party Guldborgsundlisten.
Odsherred is a peninsula in the north-western part of the island Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark. Odsherred stretches from the Sjællands Odde in the north-west to the now drained Lammefjord in the south, covering an area with a wide range of the most typical Danish landscapes: long sandy beaches, small rolling hills and farming. Sjællands Odde is a 15 km long peninsula on the northwest coast of Zealand between the Kattegat and Sejerø Bay. From the outermost point of the peninsula, Gniben, a reef juts some 10 km out into the Kattegat.

Høve is a village in northwest Zealand with fewer than 200 inhabitants (2011). Høve is located near Sejerø Bay, five kilometers north of Asnæs, 17 kilometers southwest of Nykøbing Sjælland, and 25 kilometers northwest of Holbæk. The village is part of Odsherred Municipality and is in Asnæs Parish.
Odsherred Painters is a term applied to Danish artists from various periods with connections to Odsherred in the northwest of Zealand, Denmark. Some were born there while others settled in the area or painted there. While the term includes painters from the 19th century such as Johan Thomas Lundbye, Vilhelm Kyhn and Vilhelm Melbye, it is applied more specifically to the painters who created landscapes from 1930 to 1970 and who formed an artists' colony. They include Karl Bovin, Kaj Ejstrup, Viggo Rørup, Ellen Krause, Lauritz Hartz, Povl Christensen, Victor Brockdorff and Sigurd Swane.
The Holbæk Line is a 49.4 km (30.7 mi) long standard gauge single track local passenger railway line linking Holbæk with the town of Nykøbing Sjælland in the northwestern part of the island of Zealand some fifty km west of Copenhagen9, Denmark. It takes its name after the Odsherred peninsula. Train services on the Odsherred Line are operated by the railway company Lokaltog.
