Trust is a privately held company and a value-for-money-brand for digital lifestyle accessories which offers a wide range of products within the sub-brands Trust PC & Laptop, Trust Mobile, Trust Gaming and Trust Smart Home. Trust's products are sold in specialist stores, large retailers, electronics chains and online stores in over 50 countries. Trust has an annual turnover of €130 million and employs 220 people in branches in five countries.^{[ citation needed ]}

History

This company was founded in 1981 in the Netherlands under the name Aashima Technology B.V. and its core business was importing computer accessories, game consoles and video games. From 1985, the company started producing its own products branded as Trust. The business grew and so did the company. In 1988, the first foreign branch offices were opened in Germany, England, Italy and France. In 2003, Aashima Technology B.V. changed its name into Trust International B.V. in order to reinforce the Trust brand name internationally. Nowadays, Trust products can be found in more than 44 countries.

Sports sponsorship

Dutch F1 driver Jos Verstappen used his strong Dutch links to gain sponsorship for the Minardi F1 Team in 2003 when Trust became one of the team sponsors.^[2] That sponsorship was moved to Jordan Grand Prix in 2004 when Verstappen was on the verge of a race seat with the team. Trust had a sponsorship agreement with Spyker F1 as the team started to bring in Dutch sponsorship. Trust was the head sponsor of the Arden International team, which competes in the GP2 and GP2 Asia series, and previously in Formula 3000. Because of the sponsorship, the team has been dubbed Trust Team Arden. Trust also sponsored Minardi Team USA in the 2007 Champ Car World Series for much of the season but ended their sponsorship at the end of the season after the team stopped competing at the end of the year due to the unification of Champ Car and Indycar. Trust sponsored Red Bull Racing in 2009, both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber had the Trust name visible on the chin bar of their helmets.^[3]

Minardi was an Italian automobile racing team and constructor founded in Faenza in 1979 by Giancarlo Minardi. It competed in the Formula One World Championship from 1985 until 2005 with little success, nevertheless acquiring a loyal following of fans. Jordan Grand Prix was a Formula One constructor that competed from 1991 to 2005. The team was named after Irish businessman and founder Eddie Jordan. The team was based at Silverstone, UK but raced with an Irish licence.

Zsolt Baumgartner is a Hungarian former racing driver who raced for the Jordan and Minardi teams in Formula One. He remains the only Hungarian driver to have competed and to have scored a point in Formula One.

Arrows Grand Prix International was a British Formula One team active from 1978 to 2002. It was known as Footwork from 1991 to 1996.

Johannes Franciscus Verstappen is a Dutch former racing driver who competed in Formula One for Benetton, Simtek, Footwork Arrows, Tyrrell, Stewart, and Minardi. Verstappen was the German Formula Three champion and Masters of Formula Three winner in 1993.

Red Bull Racing, currently competing as Oracle Red Bull Racing and also known simply as Red Bull or RBR, is a Formula One racing team, racing under an Austrian licence and based in the United Kingdom. It is one of two Formula One teams owned by conglomerate Red Bull GmbH, the other being Scuderia AlphaTauri. The Red Bull Racing team has been managed by Christian Horner since its formation in 2005.

Tarso Anibal Santanna Marques is a Brazilian racing driver. He previously participated in 24 Formula One Grands Prix, all driving for the Minardi team, but scored no championship points in three separate seasons and never completed a full year in the sport.

Arden International is a multiple formula racing team created and run by Christian Horner and Garry Horner. It currently runs teams in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and F4 British Championship, and formerly ran in the FIA Formula 2 Championship and GP3 Series.

Christian Edward Johnston Horner is a British former racing driver and current Team Principal of the Red Bull Formula One team, a position he has held since 2005, winning thirteen world titles. His motorsport career started as a racing car driver, before he switched roles to become head of International Formula 3000 team Arden International Motorsport in 1999.

Robert Michael Doornbos is a Dutch former racing driver who also competed with a Monégasque licence. He has been test and third driver for the Jordan and Red Bull Racing Formula One teams, as well as driving for Minardi and Red Bull Racing in 2005 and 2006. Doornbos then drove for Minardi Team USA in the 2007 and final season of the Champ Car World Series. He competed in the Superleague Formula racing series in 2008, and drove for the Netherlands team in A1 Grand Prix's 2008–2009 season. In 2009, Doornbos competed in the IndyCar Series. He began the season with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing, but switched to HVM Racing after the race in Kentucky Speedway.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Red Bull Junior Team</span> Red Bulls driver development program

The Red Bull Junior Team is a driver development program run by the conglomerate company Red Bull GmbH in an attempt to identify potential future racing stars in open wheel racing. The similar Red Bull Driver Search, now ended, was an American spinoff of the same idea held in 2005. Members of the Junior Team are financed and sponsored by Red Bull in lower racing formulae.

Sparco S.p.A. is an Italian auto part and accessory company headquartered in Volpiano near Turin that specializes in producing items such as seats, steering wheels, harnesses, racewear and helmets. Sparco branded alloy wheels are produced under licence by OZ Group. They also sponsor many types of auto races including rallies and single-seaters.

The Arrows A20 was the car with which the Arrows Formula One team competed in the 1999 Formula One World Championship.

The Arrows A22 was the car with which the Arrows team competed in the 2001 Formula One World Championship. It was driven by Dutchman Jos Verstappen, who was in his second year with the team, and Enrique Bernoldi, a Brazilian rookie who brought sponsorship from Red Bull, at the expense of Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa who was unexpectedly dropped shortly before the season started.

The Minardi PS03 was the car with which the Minardi team competed in the 2003 Formula One World Championship.

Formula One sponsorship liveries have been used since the 1968 season. Before the arrival of sponsorship liveries in 1968 the nationality of the team determined the colour of a car entered by the team. Major sponsors such as BP, Shell, and Firestone had pulled out of the sport ahead of this season, prompting the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile to allow unrestricted sponsorship. Team Gunston became the first Formula One team to implement sponsorship brands as a livery on their Brabham car, which privately entered for John Love in orange, brown and gold colours of Gunston cigarettes in the first race of the 1968 season, the 1968 South African Grand Prix, on 1 January 1968. In the next race, the 1968 Spanish Grand Prix, Team Lotus became the first works team to follow this example, with Graham Hill's Lotus 49B entered in the red, gold and white colors of Imperial Tobacco's Gold Leaf brand. With rising costs in Formula One, sponsors becoming more important and thus liveries reflected the teams' sponsors.

Red Bull GmbH is an Austrian multinational private conglomerate company known for its range of energy drinks of the same name. It is also known for its sponsorship of a range of sporting events and teams. The headquarters of Red Bull GmbH are located in Fuschl am See, Salzburg.

There have been seventeen Formula One racing drivers from the Netherlands who have taken part in Grand Prix races since 1952.
