The discography of Twisted Wheel, an English rock band, consists of three studio albums, one extended play (EP), and three singles.

History

Twisted Wheel was formed in February 2007 by two former members of The Children, guitarist and singer Jonny Brown and bassist Rick Lees. They were joined by drummer Adam Clarke. [1] The band took their name from Manchester's northern soul nightclub, the Twisted Wheel, having been inspired by Oasis naming themselves after a Swindon music venue. [2] A week later, they played their first gig at Viva indie club in Stalybridge.

The band signed to Columbia Records in January 2008. [3] Their first single, "She's A Weapon", was released in April 2008 to high acclaim by Radio 1's Zane Lowe, [4] NME [5] and Q. [6] Their follow-up record, a five-track EP entitled You Stole The Sun, was released in July 2008. [6]

The band's debut album, Twisted Wheel, produced by the highly acclaimed Dave Sardy, was recorded in June 2008 [7] and released on 13 April 2009. [4] The first single from the album, "Lucy The Castle", was released in November 2008, [7] with the follow-up, "We Are Us", released in March 2009. In April 2010 The free download "Tell The World" was released via the band's website.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation Japanese alternative rock band

Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama in 1996. For its entire career, the band has consisted of vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut Hōkai Amplifier, from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese. The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. Their songs incorporate various aspects of the genres, most typically expressing fast tempos and prominent power chord guitar riffs in addition to rhythmic groove and emotional lyrics. Despite the indie nature of their music, the band has enjoyed worldwide commercial success in addition to critical acclaim. Asian Kung-Fu Generation has been cited as one of the best, most balanced modern rock bands to emerge from Japan in the 2000s.

Zs is a Brooklyn, New York-based experimental band. Since the band's inception, Zs has incarnated as everything from a sextet to a duo, now solidified into the quartet of Patrick Higgins, Greg Fox (percussion), Sam Hillmer and Michael Beharie (electronics). While Zs' music has been variously categorized as no wave, noise, post-minimalist, drone, and psych, it is primarily concerned with making music that challenges the physical and mental limitations of both performer and listener. The band has been heralded by The New York Times as "one of the strongest avant-garde bands in New York."
