The UCI Under 23 Nations' Cup is an annual, season-long competition for under-23 male road cyclists. It was created by the Union Cycliste Internationale in 2007 to aid in the development of young riders. [1] It is the most important competition for under-23 riders. [2]

Road cycling

Road cycling is the most widespread form of cycling. It includes recreational, racing, and utility cycling. Road cyclists are generally expected to obey the same rules and laws as other vehicle drivers or riders and may also be vehicular cyclists.

The Union Cycliste Internationale is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. The UCI is based in Aigle, Switzerland.

La Côte Picarde is a professional cycling race held annually in Picardy, France. It has been part of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005 in category 1.ncup, meaning it is part of the UCI Under 23 Nations' Cup.

Tour de lAvenir

Tour de l'Avenir is a French road bicycle racing stage race, which started in 1961 as a race similar to the Tour de France and over much of the same course but for amateurs and for semi-professionals known as independents. Felice Gimondi, Joop Zoetemelk, Greg LeMond, Miguel Indurain and Laurent Fignon won the Tour de l'Avenir and went on to win 12 Tours de France between them.

Simon Yates (cyclist) British cyclist

Simon Philip Yates is a British road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Mitchelton–Scott. His twin brother is Adam Yates, who is also a cyclist for the same team. He won the gold medal in the points race at the 2013 Track Cycling World Championships. Following a doping ban in 2016, he won the young rider classification in the 2017 Tour de France and the general classification in the 2018 Vuelta a España.
