UK funky is a genre of dance music from the United Kingdom that is heavily influenced by soulful house, Afrobeat, soca, tribal house, broken beat, grime and UK garage. Typically, UK funky blends beats, bass loops and synths with African and Latin percussion in the dem bow rhythm and contemporary R&B-style vocals.

UKF Music electronic music brand and label

UKF is a record label founded by Luke Hood and AEI Group that focuses on promoting electronic music. UKF Music was created by Luke Hood, who began sharing bass music through his original two YouTube Channels, UKF Drum & Bass and UKF Dubstep, in 2009. The UKF brand now has five YouTube Channels: UKF Music, UKF Dubstep, UKF Drum & Bass, UKF Mixes, and UKF Live. UKF has expanded beyond its YouTube Channels to creating compilation series and podcasts, organizing events, offering merchandise as well as its own ticketing platform.

Concord Dawn is a New Zealand drum and bass group, active since mid-1999, consisting of Matt Harvey. Until 2010, Evan Short was one half of the group. They were courted by local electronic music label Kog Transmissions and released their first album, Concord Dawn, in July 2000.

The Prototypes is a British drum and bass duo consisting of Chris Garvey and Nick White. Nero is a British electronic music trio composed of members Dan Stephens, Joe Ray and Alana Watson. On 12 August 2011, they released their debut studio album, Welcome Reality, which reached number one in the UK Albums Chart. In August 2012, "Promises" received a Gold certification in the United States. On 10 February 2013, Nero won a Grammy Award for their collaborative remix of "Promises" with Skrillex. Their second studio album, Between II Worlds, was released on 11 September 2015.

Olivier J. L. Heldens, better known by his stage name Oliver Heldens, is a Dutch DJ and electronic music producer from Rotterdam. His 2013 song "Gecko" caught the attention of fellow Dutch DJ Tiësto, who signed him to his label, Musical Freedom, and released the track with vocals from British singer Becky Hill on 23 June 2014 as “Gecko (Overdrive)”. He is regarded as a pioneer of the future house genre propelling it to international attention and numerous chart successes with “Gecko (Overdrive)” and ”Last All Night (Koala)”.

René LaVice is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ and singer. His song "The Calling", featuring Ivy Mairi, entered the UK Singles Chart at number 118 following a placement on BBC Radio 1's A List playlist. Nicolas Varien Kaelar, better known by his stage name Varien, is an American composer and producer. While primarily an electronic music producer, Varien has incorporated or experimented with styles of industrial, metal, orchestral, neofolk, and ambient music. He is known for his unconventional approach to electronic music, including many live instruments not normally found on electronic tracks. Most of his catalog can be described as dark, hybrid electronic music influenced by late 90s-00s culture and Japanese RPGs.

He first gained attention with his release on UKF, "X No Way Out" in 2010 and continues to release music, most predominantly on Canadian electronic music label, Monstercat. He has also worked with other labels, such as UKF Music and Liquicity.
