The University of Queensland Business School is the business school of the University of Queensland, located in Brisbane, Australia. There are seven areas of research expertise across UQ Business School: Accounting, Business Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, Strategy and Tourism.

The school began teaching its MBA program in 1972, the very first to be offered in Queensland.[ citation needed ] It became the first business school in Australia to meet the standards of the accrediting bodies – the US-based AACSB International [1] and Europe's EQUIS. [2]

The Economist has ranked UQ Business School as 1st worldwide for student quality, the UQ Business School MBA program also ranked 1st in Queensland and 3rd overall in Australia in 2021. [3]

In addition, along with Faculty of Business, Economics & Law, UQ Business School collaborates with Mahidol University International College and The Chinese University of Hong Kong to introduce Hospitality Management Program, exclusively available to its Bachelor of International and Tourism Management students. History

UQ Business School's origins date back to 1926 when the University of Queensland first began to offer accounting degrees. The Department of Accountancy was set up in 1961, and later became the School of Commerce. Management education began in 1972, when the first MBA students enrolled.

The school was renamed the Department of Business Administration and later became School of Management in 1984. [5]

UQ Business School was formed in 2002 with the merger of the Schools of Commerce and Management, and two years later it expanded further when it merged with the Technology and Innovation Management Centre (TIMC). [5]

UQ Business School was the first business school in Australia to gain dual accreditation from AACSB International and EQUIS – the most prestigious standards a business school can achieve. [5]

Campuses

UQ Business School operates over two sites. Most of the school's staff are located at the St Lucia campus, a 114-acre site located seven miles from the centre of Brisbane within a bend in the Brisbane River.[ citation needed ]

UQ Business School Brisbane City (UQ Brisbane City [6] ), which opened in 2004, is situated in Brisbane's central business district and is home to the school's MBA program and Executive Education courses. This learning and conference centre won the Queensland Architecture Award (Interiors) in 2005. [7]

The Strathclyde Business School (SBS) is one of four faculties forming the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded in 1948, the school is located on Cathedral Street within the John Anderson campus of the University. It offers courses for business education and management development.

The Indian School of Business (ISB) is a private business school established in India in 2001. It has two parallel campuses in India, in Hyderabad (Telangana) and Mohali (Punjab). It offers certificates in various post-graduate management programs. ISB became the 100th Triple Accredited business school in the world upon achieving AMBA accreditation on 12 May 2020.

The QUT Business School is one of six faculties at the Queensland University of Technology. It is home to the QUT Graduate School of Business, as well as four-discipline focused schools; the School of Accountancy, the School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, the School of Economics and Finance, and the School of Management. In 2015, the QUT Business School had enrolled a total of 8,971 students across the faculty, including 2,962 international students.

University of Bradford School of Management English business school

EDHEC Business School is a French grandes écoles business school with campus locations in: Lille, France; Nice, France; Paris, France; London, UK; and Singapore. EDHEC offers its flagship Master in Management, MSc International Finance, MBA and EMBA programs, specialised MSc programs, PhD program and executive education. Audencia Business School

Audencia Business School is a French grande école and business school located in Nantes, France. It is one of the only 0.5% of business schools in the world accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Audencia is also BSIS labelled. The school enrolls 6,100 students from almost 90 countries on bachelors, international masters, specialised masters, MBAs, doctorates and executive education courses.

WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management German business school

The WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a German business school with campuses in Vallendar and Düsseldorf, Germany. WHU was founded in 1984 by the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce as the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung; the name was modified in 1993 to honour WHU's benefactor, the businessman Otto Beisheim. As of September 2021, there are 1,880 students at WHU, about 230 employees and 59 professors. WHU is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious business schools in the German-speaking world (DACH).

European School of Management and Technology

The European School of Management and Technology, also known as ESMT Berlin, is a private non-profit business school based in Berlin, Germany. The business school was founded in 2002 by 25 global companies and institutions including McKinsey & Company, Inc., KPMG, The Boston Consulting Group, Siemens and T-Mobile. ESMT offers a full-time MBA, an executive MBA, a part-time MBA, a global online MBA, a master in management, a master in global management, a master in innovation and entrepreneurship, a master in analytics and artificial intelligence program, as well as open enrollment and customized executive education programs.

TBS Education French business school founded in 1903

TBS Education, formerly Toulouse Business School and Groupe ESC Toulouse, is a triple crown business school founded in 1903 by the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This highly selective grande école offers several types of training ranging from Bachelors and Masters in the field of management, including the most prestigious of them called the "Grande Ecole" Program (PGE), and a joint DBA with the University of Toulouse, Toulouse School of Management. It holds triple accreditation EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA and is a member of both the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées and the Conférence des grandes écoles (CGE). It offers business courses in English, French, and Spanish to over 7,000 students, many international, trained each year in its initial and continuing training programmes, and has business schools located in Toulouse, Paris, Barcelona, and Casablanca. Research is focused on emerging sectors, the school has developed two clusters: the first dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and data analysis, the second to aerospace mobility.

University of Sydney Business School

The University of Sydney Business School is the business school and a constituent body of the University of Sydney. It was established in January 2011 and formed from the School of Business within the previous Faculty of Economics and Business. The former combined faculty itself descended from the original Faculty of Economics founded in 1920, which was the first faculty of its kind in Australia.

UNSW Business School Business school of the University of New South Wales

The UNSW Business School at the University of New South Wales is a business school located in Sydney, Australia. The school offers 42 programs, including 26 undergraduate and 26 specialist master's degrees, as well as six MBA and executive programs through the Australian Graduate School of Management.

University of Western Australia Business School

The University of Western Australia Business School is a business school at the University of Western Australia (UWA). UWA first began teaching Economics in 1912, and the Business School is now home to over 5,800 students. The school has four disciplines: Accounting and Finance; Economics; Management and Organisations; and Marketing.

Kozminski University Private University in Warsaw

Kozminski University is a private, non profit business school in Warsaw, Poland, and is considered to be "Poland’s highest rated private university". It was established in 1993 and named after Leon Koźmiński, a Polish professor of economics and entrepreneurship, and also the father of Andrzej Koźmiński, the founder and the first rector of the school. It is one of the top business schools in the world, contains the Central Eastern campus of ESCP as of 2015, and the only institution of higher education in Poland, holding the "triple crown accreditation ". Less than 1% of business education providers worldwide hold these three major international quality accreditations. The Financial Times named the university as the best business school in Poland and Central Europe.

Griffith Business School is part of Griffith University, located in South-East Queensland. It is a public university with more than 43,000 students from 131 countries.
